Not sure what to make of this as most everyone was assured he'd be moved to another team this summer. It's possible this could be some sort of a sign, and trade maneuver, but I honestly think the Leafs management had trouble moving him from either lack of interest, or they just didn't get enough offered back in return, in their minds. It's also possible they were afraid of trading him, and watch him blossoms into a decent number one guy on another team, and it comes back to haunt them in the future?

Regardless, if he's staying this year, having him back up Jonathan Bernier isn't such a bad thing, really. He's capable of getting the job done, if he can get his confidence back, and has a bit more defensive help that was greatly lacking from this team last year. The best thing for him to do is put aside last year, and what happened, and play his arse off, and gain back the confidence back from his teammates, and the idiot coach running this club. At $2.3 against the cap over the next 2 seasons, not a horrible deal for both sides. He's gotta perform, though.

The worst part of all this is I just dumped most of my Reimer stuff in anticipation of a trade. :|

I too like Reimer but he quit on the coach down the stretch,
and essentially his team.Too bad that it all came about because
of a stupid comment but I don't think Reims is gonna be a Leaf
for the entire season.
