Looks like the leafs have signed Clarke MacArthur to a 1 year deal woth 1.1 million. It was mentioned first on Leafs TV, then Kypreos came out with this tweet:

I can confirm the Leafs have signed free agent Clarke MacArthur to a 1-yr/$1.1M contract.


Interesting pickup to say the least...although as a leafs fan I don't mind it. Low risk pickup considering it's for a year.

I was hoping the Isles would pick him up. He has real potential and for that price you will get at least what you pay for! Great signing by the leafs.
 
Far more reasonable than what the arbitrator apparantly thought he was worth. Interesting to see if he can score 20 or more this year.
 
It's a great pickup, he showed flashes of being a great player while in Buffalo. He should get lots of playing time in TO.

Good, low risk move. He will have lots of oppurtunity to take a role on the top two lines, which is probably why he chose to sign in Toronto for a year. If he pots 20 goals next year, he should get a nice raise from the Leafs or another team

Nice signing for the Leafs, low risk, high reward type of deal.

As for his arbitration award, the Thrashers had no intention of bringing him back with the Ladd and Byfuglien aquisitions, so they did not put up any arguement in arbitration, therefore the arbitrator just had to give him what his laywer asked for, and the Thrashers walked away likie they wanted,
