That is semi funny but not so cool with for the younger collectors. Having seen some of the written stuff on the knob of the bats from 1989 Billy Ripken famous "Puck Face" (I think you can figure out the real words) and Jim Nettles had something similar on his pacific cards from the senior league--I forget exactly what it was now. I believe Roger Maris or something decent also showed the bird in one of his photos while posing with a bat to his side his finger was pointed down.
Just incase you ever come to Michigan we refer to the middle finger as the "Michigan Wave" often seen on the major highways in and around metro Detroit hehehe.
