As many of you know I am working on the 07/08 ITG Heroes and Prospects emblem set. I am not concerned at all if the emblem I end up with is from a pack or if it is one of the show stamped cards. I am ONLY interested in having the best emblem that I could have.

So keeping that in mind here is what I am wondering...I won this card earlier tonight:

Lets call this "exhibit A"

Immediately after winning I received a message from the person I outbid asking if I would consider working out a deal with him for the card. I told him I couldn't do that because I am working on the set and am over half way done...to which he replies back and says he has two of the unnumbered emblems of Dennis and would trade either for the one I just won....here are the two he owns:

Lets call them "exhibit B" and "exhibit C"

So which one of the three would you choose? Please keep in mind that I have NO problem AT ALL with these being show stamped.

Patch "C" is deffinitly a more unique patch, but the one you won in auction "A" is stamped 1/1 from the expo. Tough choice, but if you are trying to complete a set with the best patch, I would choose "A" due to the 3 colours, [but thats just my thought]

I know you said you don't mind show stamped, but show stamped=yuck to me. Let me guess...it was from north-of-7. I'd go with C, but it's your collection...not mine.

I went with C, but they are all pretty close. C is the most unique, but asthetically, I like B, and A has the best coloring... so it's a tough choice.
 
I voted "A", but only because you very specifically said you don't care about the show stamp. If I were building the set, I'd take "C", and ask for something extra in the trade, since it seems he is putting a premium on the show stamp, and/or the nice patch.
 
Guys I do sincerely appreciate your input, but regardless of the vote the desire to help a fellow collector and HI member has won out. He is trying to gather one of each of the Dennis cards from H&P and with this being a show stamped 1/1 he needs it more than I...so once it is in hand I will be swapping it for the blue and white one.

right on man. if youre going for the set, 1) the expo card isnt really part of it, and 2) obviously this guy is a player collector, with that in mind, the difference between A and C is minimal, and if he really wants it, the right thing as a fellow collector would be to go ahead with the trade to help him out.
 
I like C, but I am a bit biased because I don't like show stamped cards in my sets. I know you don't care, but for me.... Well you get my drift. All three are pretty sharp though. Mike
