Pulled this in a box of SPA tonite...something veeeery fishy about this card. Can you see what it is?

i wonder if that would be worth more, i am sure that is probably the only one they did that to, could make it worth extra, too bad it wasn't like brodeur or someone
 
Ohhhhhh....you guys are looking at the numbering on the card. I actually scribbled that on there myself as a joke between myself and the shop owner. Sorry, I should have mentioned that. Tee hee, my bad.

My issue is with the player. Who is the idiot at Upper Deck in charge of this checklist who thought it would a good idea to re-issue this card, let alone buy it back from someone? Is it not bad enough that they issued this card once?!?!?

Why do they insist on going out of their way to point out to collectors what little they know about hockey by re-issuing it a second time?

Actually, the boxes were berry, berry good to me. Got some nice MOJO, not including the Brendl of course. I'll try to post scans a little later tonite.
 
Bryan, because you were the first to ask, it's yours! I was actually going to run a little contest for it. The contest just became "first one who asks gets it". Hey it's my contest and I get to make up the rules.

Er....did you want any additional autographs on it? I can maybe squeeze one more on there to increase the value a bit. Daniel Tkaczuk, perhaps? ;)

Gawd knows I've been wrong before. But this one I feel pretty confident about. I can't imagine a kid who lists "hot dogs" as his favorite health food becoming any sort of elite athlete. Plus I watched the kid play for two years here in Calgary. He makes Jaromir Jagr look like the energizer bunny.

Definitely was scary to watch. Not good when your own fans boo you. Everytime Calgary came to Saskatoon there were people everywhere decked out in Hitmen sweaters, and they called him down the entire game. I still blame a lot of that on Clark and the rest of the staff though. One of the most talented players to ever come through the WHL, but they let him do what he felt like, and he did. I had mentioned this elsewhere before, but it's really bad when you only see your end of the ice during the warmup, and even then only a couple of coast-arounds. Hard to believe he's gotten as far as he has in the NHL.
 
I saw him on the point on the powerplay one game...he coughed the puck up at the blueline and gave what appeared to be a clear breakaway to the forward on the other team. Brendl put his head down and caught the poor guy before he got to the Hitmen blueline. Picked his pocket and moved the puck back up ice the other way. The skill is there, but not the desire. Players like that in the CHL that never make the pros are a dime-a-dozen.
 
No doubt. Kind of makes you crazy when you think about what kind of player he could have been with any kind of motivation. But that's a big part of why there are so many ridiculous pro leagues everywhere now too. Players too lazy to make any real effort, but get picked up but the Midvale Mudsukkers (how's that for a name?) to play in the middle of nowhere because they don't want to get a real job either.
