Moving on to the next part of the series, player PC additions!

I'll start out with a NEW player PC...Brogan Rafferty! Brogan has been involved (attended and then coached) at the hockey camp I have been involved with (same as Slavin and Whitmore), so I was happy he got some cards. Still hoping he will get some more throughout the year.

^His only true rookie to date so far.

Actually have two Retro Blacks...first one has some surface damage, so I grabbed another.

If you don't see it shown above, I need it! That means Red, Red Blank Back, and Retro Blank Back!

Next, one lonely Derek Whitmore addition, though I actually do have another copy of this one incoming!

Some Christian Fischer pickups:

^Had a copy of the Synergy Red, but it also had surface damage, so I finally got around to grabbing another. This one (both of these cards, actually) came in the lot of low-end rookies mentioned in my previous posts.

^Was thrilled to finally get each of these. Now for a YG High Gloss...

Moving on to the biggest sections! First up, Jaccob Slavin!

This is my fourth copy of the card, but I like it a lot, and got this one for a good price, so why not?

^Really love the photo UD used on this card!

And a big grouping of this year's OPC!

Just need the Red Blank Back to finish the rainbow. "Just." Those things can be a huge pain to find...Hjalmarsson is the only of my four main PC guys that have them that I own right now. Haven't even seen a single copy of any of the others (Slavin, Dzingel, Rafferty).

And finally, wrapping up with Ryan Dzingel!

^Need Red, Red Blank Back, and Gold to complete his rainbow.

And finally, a HUGE addition for my Dzingel collection.

I had been looking to grab a copy of this card for years, really ever since it came out. The few copies I have seen were listed for crazy high prices or sold for more than I wanted to pay at the time.

Well, this one finally popped up a while back and I was able to agree on a price with the seller. It was higher than I wanted, but I was tired of trying to find one for a good price. Bite the bullet and call it good.

Not so fast.

I keep an eye on the tracking and all looks good. Then, out of nowhere, the tracking stops getting updated when it arrived at a USPS distribution center. I wait a week or so and nothing. No card, no update. This led to opening a case with the USPS, and nothing really happened, of course.

So after all that, and waiting a few more weeks, the seller gave me a refund, which was nice of them given it clearly was not their fault.

So, I figure that I will have to wait another few years to grab a copy, sigh.

Then, out of absolutely no where weeks later, a mangled bubble mailer inside a sealed plastic bag lands in my mailbox. Could it be? Is the card somehow okay even though the bubble mailer is literally destroyed?

Yes.

FINALLY!

Great Dzingel at the end there with a great story behind it. Sometimes in this hobby we need to go through a little frustration to really enjoy those elusive cards. Congrats on receiving that card after all this time! I’ve alwaus enjoyed those SPGU rookies numbered to the players jersey number.
