Hiya,
just looking for some people to talk to about the hobby (card buddies). I don't quite fit in "here" according to what some members have told me, the posts I've read, and the chat room discussions.
I'm not the average "collector" whatsoever, would be nice to have hobby talk with some new faces on MSN.

Hehe thanks guys. It's a long story I suppose, but yes some members have questioned why I'm even here (like I don't belong), I'm just not like most of you with the collecting habits, high end things and what not. :(

Seren...I don't know who or what told you that you don't belong here, but realistically...tell em to **** off and stay around. No 2 collecting styles are alike, and therefore, by these peoples' definitions, nobody belongs.

I will say the hobby talk here is probably of a higher quality than most other sites, which is why it might seem daunting. All it is is the folks here on average are more experienced and learned about the hobby than other sites...which also comes from the fact that the membership is a bit smaller and a lot of the filler content from other sites have been and passed through here already, never to return.
 
I'd say you fit in here just fine Seren. Just because you're not chasing down high end stuff doesn't mean you can't fit in.

I'm too simple o' collector (and broke) to be collecting as it stands lol
But thank you for the kind words guys, truthfully, you made my day a better one.
 
I find it doesnt matter what or who you collect. Even if its the cheaper brands on these boards somebody will have some of it. Add to that the members that give to other members just to help their collections and you will find yourself having stuff from low to high end within a short amount of time. Feel free to look me up to talk sometime if you want as well.

Everyone is welcome here and if knowledge of the hobby is what your looking for the great members here will always chime in to help. There is an amazing class of people that frequent these boards and im sure you will make a great addition.
 
If they let guys like me and Chinner run rampant, you'll fit in just fine. :)

i am a 16 year old student and i have a hard time getting money so i guess we are on the same boat with the money thing for buying cards lol. but i don't see why people would say you don't belong a bunch of butt-heads can't really swear on this site anymore lol.

I'd love to talk to many of you, and get to know you, I can't really say that I'd have much to gloat about hobby wise or whatever but, it's just would be nice to have some people to talk to in the "field" since I'm an oddball to many of my friends. :rolleyes:

Hi is great place for this type of thing.

As a UK collector none of my frends get collecting (cards are for kids in the uk) and as hoarder many guys on here think im crazy too!

I collect flames cards but also the guy in my sig, he has played a otal of 4 mins in the NHL and is now struggeling to make the grade with the SA Rampage, HAs that stopped me collecting him? Check the numbers in my sig, and those are still going up. Cup cards of a guy like that can sell for under $10 :beer:

I don't think people here "gloat" per sé. Heck, most people here don't have anything to gloat about in the first place :D I for one am here to talk about hockey and the hobby, and overall just have fun. If anyone is stopping you from doing that, ignore them, or if it gets bad, report it to an admin.
