Luca Sbisa, I hate you...

What do you think would be a fair value to put on this card?

They are acting confused by the fact that I am complaining about $700 saying that all the other shields on ebay right now are going for around $500.
 
Yeah, you'll get that reaction I'm sure. They don't understand the difference between selling value and their values unfortunately.

I would look at similar players, if there are any. Other shields might be going for 500, but other players aren't Claude freaking Giroux, lol. I would probably argue value with them based on what you gave up for the redemption as well. If you gave up 1000 cash worth of cards, make sure you let them know that.
 
I would ask them to wait it out a couple of weeks and see if the Giroux/Jvr shield pops up from this year and compare.
 
Thats poor from UD

If I were them I'd sue players who fail who lose the cards then give the money to the collector who was screwed out of their redemption

For something that expensive to make, you'd think they would send the card portion and once those are returned, they could then build the card. If Sbisa loses his portion, oh well, we'll get someone else. Might not be the most cost effective way to do something, but to lose two shields probably isn't that cheap a proposition either.

Have you ever seen an uncut sheet? Cards are usually built by the sheet of a 100 at a time. Players always sign the final product.

The Gretz is nice..... but a printing plate and a triple SOTT with two players who arent even with the team anymore? Thats weak, I wouldnt be pleased with UD right now if I were you. My two cents.....
 
I thought I saw those 11-12 Gretzky Team CAnada Shadowbox Auto redemption cards when they first came out going for $1000 - $1200 (but I would be pretty piss if I pulled the redemption card and they tell me its all gone since it was given out as a redemption)

and don't the ICE patch /10 usually sell pretty well?

I know its not a shield 1/1 but depending on if you pulled it or purchase it, it might be a reasonable replacement...
 
is the Ice patch the Ice Premieres?and is it a nice patch?if so i'd be happy with a pc player card like that,coupled with the Gretzky auto it would make me two thirds satisfied.however i'd send back the triple auto and plate and ask for something else.

You guys all must be high.

Those Gretzky shadowbox autos sell for in the $1000 range. The Giroux Premieres Patch /10 is a $350-$500 card, and the guys is a Giroux Collector, so the plate and triple probably fit nicely into his PC also.

I think UD definitely did their best on this one.
 
08-09 Ice #203 Claude Giroux PATCH AU /10 If this is the premieres patch then I'd say its an 800 dollar card for sure.

Value wise, I think you did ok.
 
I'd take that replacement in a heartbeat. The Gretzky is definitely $$, but there's no way I'd turn down that Ice RPA /10, that's got to be one of the toughest cards to find. I could see that being a $800-1000 card one day soon.
 
I think you did alright.. the Great one auto is a nice card (helps value wise for the package you got)

but that is just me
