I opened a box of MVP after the Truro Flea Market. I ended up pulling a Rick Nash Gold Scripts xx/100, the Thoronton/Cheech/Getzlaf/Perry 2 on 2 and this case hit (even though I don't think these players on a case hit...)

A nice piece of history, the tire comes from Toyota's first win in the Sprint Cup Series!

2008 Wheels American Thunder Trackside Treasury Auto - Aric Almirola
I picked up the xx/10 piece for less than the auto, but I figured I'd start up a Aric Almirola collection to go with my small Regan Smith NASCAR collection! Both drivers ran the IWK 250 in Antigonish, NS at Riverside Int'l Speedway and both are class acts!
Ok, let us start with the show breaks!
I went to Halifax today with the intent of breaking a box of Heroes and Prospects, after wheeling and dealing (and some decent looking breaks of the product), I decided to give a box a try. Here are the results:
2008-09 Heroes and Prospects GU Jersey xx/100 - Kyle Greentree
2008-09 Heroes and Prospects Auto - Tyler Ennis...
At this point, I wasn't very impressed with the break, until the last pack:
2008-09 Heroes and Prospects GU Numbers, Silver #6 of 9, Jiri Tlusty
This is my lowest numbered print run pull, with the exception of press plates! Not much in color to report about, but still... 6 of 9!!!
So following that break, I made a small trade with Winston for three packs of 2008-09 UD Series 1. I say small because it was only three packs, but what was within packed a mighty punch!!!

2008-09 UD Young Gun - Michael Boedker
2008-09 UD Game Jersey - Eric Staal
Well, I was happy with that... BUT, that was only my first two packs (the Staal and Comeau were in the same pack). The last pack yielded this beaut!:
2008-09 UD Clear Cut Winners xx/100 - Wayne Gretzky
Last years CCW books at $150, so this definitely made my day to see this come out of a three pack break!
After seeing another box of Series 1 broke (which included a Malkin/Crosby Dual CCW's xx/25 and a Stamkos YG), I headed up to try my luck with Black Diamond. Planned on getting three packs but settled for two... wish I should of kept to my intentions and got three, here's my two:
2008-09 Black Diamond Premier Cuts <> Mike Richards
2008-09 Black Diamond <><><> Marian Gaborik
2008-09 Black Diamond Jersey Patrice Bergeron.
The jersey came from a trade with Richard (RGM81) while the other two came from my break..
That other pack I didn't take - yeah, it had a P. Roy jersey in it
.
So, left the show and went across the street to Strickly Singles to check and see if any new racing had come in... indeed it had and I tried my luck at 2009 Press Pass!
