Let's get underway!

08 UD2 CCW Shanny /100
08 UD1 CCW Kopitar /100
03-04 UD RC Update RC Inspirations dual auto Perry RC/Tanguay
07 Ultimate Patches Shanny /75

The Shanny was a nice snag for $10.50 and kopitar was tough to find. The inspirations was a gift from Julian (fuel_77) and not scanned but equally worthy of mention is Pat's (pmc-random number here ;) ) gift of various bourque singles he gave me as a gift. Both of you are what keeps me going in this hobby!

2nd tier

07 Sweet Shot Stick Autos Bucyk non-GU sticks /25
08 Trilogy Personal Scripts Lanny McD
08 UD BD RFTC Brodeur (slight ding but meh)
1996 Fleer/Skybox Skymotion Sakic Case redemption
08 UD1 CCW Messier /100 (jersey number 11/100)

Pretty awesome line up for 2nd tier stuff. The Bucyk was a steal at $10 and the Lanny for $11. The brodeur cost me and I didn't see the ding, but it doesn't really detract from the look of the card imo.

My favorite has to be the 99c purchase of the Sakic skymotion cards. I remember back when Bi-Way (a store that most people get laughed at for shopping at in Ontario ;) ) had the skybox packs. My friends were all opening them up like mad and pulling some decent inserts like the reflections that used to book for good money. It's sad in a way that some of the best cards demand nothing, yet some derivative jersey card can sell for hundreds. Oh well.

08 Artifacts Gold Dual Patch Roy/Bourque /25
08 UD1 Big Playmakers Bourque /50
08 UD1 CCW Brodeur /100
1996 SP CCW Gretzky

Gorgeous cards, all four of them. The Roy/Bourque was a treat to myself, the BP came from our own Heidi (lucky_20 I think?) through eBay. The Brodeur came from eBay, and the Gretzky came from B Marketplaces (I hear that meatie guy doesn't like the 'B' word! )

A pretty decent showing on a shoestring budget! :D

Comments/questions/statements about how awesome I am are welcome!

Pie Guy, there is some SERIOUS WOOTNESS there!:whatthehell:

I love that old Fleer/Skybox Skymotion Sakic card and the clearcut Gretzky is a sick card, great find dude.

Loving the Bourque/Roy dual since they are depicted in their correct sweaters.;)

But, hey, let's be honest, the star of the show is that Kopitar Clearcut Winners.:D

Super nice loot as always Pieman
My faves would have to be the Gretzky CCW and the Messier CCW #11.

Very cool stuff, and a great job dude

Barrie - Thanks man! Yeah I figured Anze would be your top star ;)

Benn Hur ;) - Thanks for the kind words! The Gretz is so tough to find, it's amazing I could get him, lemieux and roy down. Yzerman seems to be the toughie now

Wes,

Hmm. I like that dual auto .. wanna trade? Who's that lovely chap that sent it to you again? :P

Just kidding - thanks for all the favors, and thanks to you for being a great bud.

[/manlove] :p

Jules.

Awesome mail there Wessie Bear! loving the Shannys!

but one question.. that Skybox motion of Sakic.. they were redemptions?
Hell I have 2 of them and got mine at the local 7-11 in my hometown years ago when I used to support them everyday getting Slurpees .. Interesting

Congrats!
~Billie~

At least in Canada they were redemptions, as 7-11s are not very plentiful up here at all. Maybe I forgot where they came from!

Some excellent additions Wes. Some for the Player collections and a bunch for the sets. You are the King of the super tough insert. Great thread! Mike

Wesley, another stellar lineup of eclectic goodness. I'm loving that Lanny and the Roy/Bourque Tundra, two very sweet cards.
Thanks.
Dan.

Wes, you keep the hobby real by reminding us just how sweet some of the 90s inserts are. I always enjoy seeing them, specially those clearcuts. I would love to get that complete set one day! If you feel adventurous, bring them to the Expo so I can have a look see

Go Wes Go!!!!

Mikey! - The older inserts always appealed to me a lot more than most cards do nowadays. :)

Danno - Once in a while, I cave and buy a shiny card for me :D

Glenn - sure thing man! The Gretzky is pretty impressive in person!

Thanks all :D

Wes!
I love your posts! You are the King of Old School inserts and cool inserts! The Gretzky Clear Cut Winners brings back memories! Love the hologram on it!
