AKA: The Relic, Verified Trader,
..... (and Clint Eastwood would agree!)
I am normally a man of few words but what has happened in the last 24 hours make me appreciates the little people in the world and what the future holds.
Neighbour and I have shared our collective knowlwedges and exchanged some of our sports memorabilia over the years. Yesterday, the thought of selling and walking down the street with my pair of RED seats from the Montreal Forum was on the agenda. The only deal completed that was for a set of 2008-09 UD Montreal Canadiens Centennial cards and the problem begins.
My neighbour who is a Habs' ticket subscriber often brings his three and seven year old boys (Max and Matt) to games and they have their favorites. That set I sold him had only one card of their favorite and it was destined for the family binder.
Any ways. let us fastforward this story as I am not about to write a book. I cross paths with the neighbour, he clues me in and I figured there is only ONE way to resolve matters.
I prepare a package for each of the two boys - empty tin of Canadiens Centennial, tin of UD Sweet Shot (Patrick Roy on the lid) and a card of their favorite Habs
.....
Package delivered and at 4:52 PM same day, I receive a telephone call from a seven year old saying .....
THANK YOU
I had to share this story (and it's only Monday).
