I am an avid hockey card trader from Phoenix who is considering a trip up to Toronto/Mississauga for the November National Expo. I saw that the Leafs are entertaining the Senators on that Saturday, but tickets on Paypal started at $150/ticket.

I was curious to get some help those who frequent these games. If I want to take a group of 4 to the game, is it going to cost me upwards of $600 for upper level seats? Or, if I am patient, can I wait and pick some up more cheaply as the game draws nearer?

Still not 100% sure that I'm going to make the trip, but I'm in the fact-gathering stage for the trip, so any insight would be helpful. Thanks!

Expect to pay and pay big, unless you get in on their Leafs Insider pre-sale (which sometimes doesn't work). The cheap seats start at 60 or so and usually sell out within an hour.

Here are some tickets on sale on eBay right now for November games
Check sellers
specialticketent & 2005randit
on eBay. They seems to have quite a few tickets for sale in a reasonable price. Taking into consideration these are Leafs tickets and can be pricy.

Being a leaf fan and having attended quite a few games over the years. There are three ways to do it.

1. Pay attention to when the Leafs release the tickets on ticketmaster.
2. Sign up for Leafs game day tickets, they will send you an email ahead of time, usually a full day before the game starts. However be prepared to only see 100 level tickets and they are very pricy.
3. Go and Hustle a skalper just after the puck drops. This is what I normally do and despite the fact that I am still paying more for the tickets, you will not be paying the prices you hear from those guys 4 hours before game time.

I usually go to 10 games a year and I am fully prepared to pay through my nose.

Let me know if you need any other help..

150 a ticket sounds about right for the nose bleed section there, and even with the team they have they sell out every game, so scalpers normally make the coin on tickets. For 600.00 wouldn't that get you season tickets for phx? and you can enjoy 41 games instead

Thanks everyone - I got a good suggestion to attend a game in Buffalo the Friday night before, since the tickets will be a fraction of the price (or the $150 per ticket charge will actually get me close to center ice on the lower level). I wanted to go to Air Canada, but I am not willing to spend that kinda $$$.

Buffalo is a good idea, depnds how long your here and the amount of travelling you want to do you could take up a game in Ottawa but you'd most l;ikely have to book a room for the night. Leaf tickets are insane, it was cheaper for a buddy and I to go to Montreal and see the Habs for a night than go see the Leafs in TO.
