Beckett online has actual titles to each of these 18 cards, but the cards themselves don't have any labels...just numbers 1-18. Any idea where Beckett got these titles from?

On ebay, there are a couple posts showing their set coming with some sort of pamphlet/folder that may even hold the cards. Not 100% sure. (pic attached). I haven't been able to find an image of what's inside (minus cards), or even the back page, to see if a checklist is printed with these titles.

Anyone have an answer?

So these were sold as packs that were numbered 1 to 6, each pack had base and possibly a gold foil version (Mario's name is in foil). The pamphlet was an extra and it is nothing more than just a folder, nothing special on the inside.

Now the real fun of this set is tracking down the auto versions of these. They will be gold foil versions signed in blue sharpie. They are SUPER rare and I waited years before one ever hit the market. I talked to a guy who knew of someone who actually got all 18 of the signed versions, back in 2000.

There was one more way to get these as well, it was my understanding that managers and regional managers for Giant Eagle got a full set of these cards. Some were lucky enough (regional managers) to get a single auto version in their set. My first auto came from a former regional manager.

As far as the title's go, those were just based upon the back of the card and the description given, no actual title was given. Hope this helps, if not just let me know.

Nice info! I'm sure you cherish your autographed version, seeing how rare it was.

As for the titles of the cards, I knew they were based on each card's description written on the back...but if there was no promotional material that listed official titles, why would Beckett go out of its way to make some up, instead of listing just the number, as per usual?

Nice to know the folder has no checklist in it, though. I can cross that off the list!
