This is what I'm hearing from Elliotte Friedman (CBC)

To Nashville:
Kyle Turris

To Ottawa:
Matt Duchene

To Colorado:
Samuel Girard, Vladislav Kamenev, Shane Bowers, Andrew Hammond, 2nd round pick from NAS, 1st round pick from OTT, 3rd round pick from OTT

Looks like the Avs did really well on this one.

I agree, they stocked up on picks and prospects. Hard not to peg them as the winner in this 3-way.

But I also like what Nashville did in adding another offensive force in Turris. Not so sure 6 years is great term for the team but he's a great scoring addition.

Seems to me like Ottawa made a lateral move in terms of offense.

At first I was on the fence, but I think Girard is gonna be a damn good pick up for a long time to come. and it never hurts to have some decent picks. Duchene didn't want to be there, it showed in his play, all and all a good deal for all involved.

I think Nashville and the Aves did well. Turris is a solid Young player with a great shot. After the long wait I thought the Aves killed his value but they got some decent prospect and picks in the deal. I don’t think the Sens did much to improve player for player and gave up a lot. Disappointing for sure, let’s hope he plays really well for them.

wow
poor

Matt Duchene

who wants to play in

Ottawa

:(

Kind of a homecoming for Duchene since his mother is originally from Cornwall, an hour away and his grand father still lives here.
Also of note Newell Brown, an assistant coach with the Canucks, is his uncle.
Welcome home, Matt!

Hopefully it works out for all teams and players.

All my Hab buddies aren’t happy, they all thought they would get Duchene.

I don't get the move from Ottawa's stand point. You gave up a 1st, 3rd, Hammond and Turris for Matt Duchene. Hefty.

Great for Nashville, and Avs, but seems like a super lateral move for Ottawa while they gave up picks to boot with Turris.

I think Duchene is a definite upgrade over Turris, much better scoring pedigree. He has the track record shows that himself to be a true number 1, whereas Turris is more of a number 2 centre forced into a top line role in Ottawa.

I don't know what most are thinking, Nashville gave up a lot. To my mind both Girard, and Kamenev are both NHL ready, and rank ahead of Bowers in terms of quality of asset.

In the end I think this is a win for all three teams. Colorado got a lot of prospects, picks for Duchene, Ottawa gets their true number 1, and Nashville gets a number 2 to slot behind Johansen.

Neither Ducks nor Penguins were a part of this trade.

I feel like the Avs got quite a return for a player that was clearly not a part of their future plans. However, I still don't understand why they gave up on someone like Duchene like that. Show goes on. Hopefully they keep their young core they have now and build.

As a Sens fan I love this move. Sure we gave up Turris, but I don't think he lived up to the expectation Ottawa management placed on him. Hammond was a one-hit wonder and clearly not the heir to Craig Anderson. I'm never a fan of giving up early round picks, but in this case we got a young top 6 forward with oodles more potential than Turris.
