Matt LeCroy

Matt LeCroy was put behind the dish tonight for the Nationals and to be honest I had no idea he had been catching for the Nationals this season. I remember Matt from his days with the Twins and I can't remember him playing catcher since he was in A ball with the Ft. Wayne Wizards. At any rate the Houston Astors stole 7 bases on him tonight and LeCroy committed 2 throwing errors, his throws were way off. I can't recall the last time that I remember a position player being pulled in the middle of game outside of a pitcher during a double switch. At any rate Matt understood and stated after the game if my dad was coaching the team tonight I would have expected him to have pulled me. Matt has always been class but hopefully the Nationals will understand as the Twins had he is a first baseman and probably a better AL player where he can DH.

Detroit Tried making Fick a catcher when he first came up with Detroit as well but his arm combined with his tech is as bad as LeCroy so Detroit moved him to first base. To be honest Fick should not be on the team...he has the skill but his motivation is in other spots---based on what I know and saw from Fick in Detroit...have some stories about him that are better not typed on here.
