This probably belongs in another section but, has anyone checked out the jerseys that a seller by the user name "friendlyoffer" has for sale on eBay? They appear to be authentics with fight straps but something seems "off" with each one of them besides the insanely low prices. Oddities such as the colors, size of the numbers and/or name plates, and placement of all of the above on them. They appear to have the Reebok and other brands logos but I just get the feeling even with good feedback that something just isnt right. Can someone with more knowledge than I fill in the blanks for me as to how he can sell for so cheap and what is up with these? He has many that I'd pull the trigger on to add to my collection but I fear the old too good to be true feeling.

Very good replica jerseys can be bought from China for about $20-$30 each...they come with all holograms, hang tags, and sewn-on patches. My buddy actually bought a bunch to give as gifts last year (football and baseball) and we were really impressed with the quality.

yeah if you know where to go in places like Shanghai or Beijing, there will be stores filled with sports jerseys. My favourite back in January 2010 was when this store had just about every Canadian player you can think of's Olympic jersey "on sale". Some were ok like a Carey Price one (I mean he almost coulda made the team if there was one or two injuries right?) but others were like Brassard...

also it took a while for Chinese stores to make hockey jerseys mostly because the NHL has 0 coverage in China. Soccer and Basketball are huge, baseball is ok, and the super bowl at least gets a couple minutes of air time. Nothing for hockey though.

Im pretty sure the ONLY jerseys that come with fightstraps are jerseys issued from the team (game issue/game used) so that should always be your first clue they are knock offs.

You can order the jerseys from NHL.com with the fight straps.

Bottom line: if it looks a bit off, and it's got a low price on it, and seems too good to be true, it's because it's a phony, a big fat phony.

A buddy of mine has a Sens jersey that he bought from China. He paid $33. It looks awesome. Sure, if you look closely you can tell it's a knock-off but for the price, you can't go wrong in my opinion

wrong....authentic jersey's come with the fight strap not just team issues. I have a real Giroux and a boat load of fakes....I compared the two the other day and the most noticeable difference is the material itself. The stiching/overall quality of craftsmanship is better on the real one as well....but hey my "fakes" are still extremely nice...I just wanted to get myself a nice Giroux with real Philly lettering....GO FLYERS!

I have three unlicenced jerseys....two are of substandard quality (Miscut, stitched wrong, incorrect patches, whatever). The third however is top-notch quality and impossible to tell from a licenced jersey. Buying from China can be very hit or miss.

I guess the biggest thing is price difference.....you can buy an unlicenced jersey online for 10%-50% of the cost of the licenced ones from a team store or NHL.com: if you're willing to accept minor differences or quality issues, and don't care about the licencing issue like most people don't, then do what you feel you need to do.

I have 4 avs jerseys from China. For the most part they are awesome but my shoulder patch on my landeskog third is a little messed up and the shoulder patches on my O'Reilly has the wrong color for behind the foot print

Why care that the knock off you just bought doesn't match what's worn on ice when the crap Reebok sells to the public doesn't match either.

I collect jerseys and don't own or suggest anybody go out a buy a fake but after the garbage Reebok's been pulling the past few years I completely understand anybodies decision to do so.

I have 3 Flames jerseys that are real and a Flames and Jets jersey that are knock-offs. As mentioned above, the knock-offs look pretty damn close but you can tell they aren't the same. In hindsight I kind of regret buying them but for the amount of times I wear a hockey jersey it was for the best lol.
