From what I understand, McD's rare inserts seem to have completely different pricing structure than say your typical 'no book value due to scarcity' cards. I'm looking at acquiring a Sedin x/5 patch from 08/09 McD's, but have absolutely no idea what a fair market value for this card would be. Looking to the good folks at HI for some guidance - what sort of price range would you expect this card to go for, and any recent sales (on the bay or otherwise)you can point me to for players of a similar caliber / scarcity?

The redemptions where selling for 500 to 900 if i rememeber correctly.Havent seen a live copy up for bids but didnt watch activelly after release.

Not quite the same caliber or as scarce, but I picked up this Mcdonalds patch /10 for $400...

And this one I recently picked up for just over $200...

Probably because of relative scarcity. Nobody knows how many were actually pulled. And they come up so rarely that seemingly crazy bidding ensues.

Also factoring in a good number of these cards are opened by kids, who more then likely won't redeem the cards. Also factor in the set builders....

McDonald's sets were the most collected hockey card sets year in year out. I have to think they've lost some popularity since Ronald dropped them.
