I finally got a taste of what Mike and Barrie feel like with their insane maildays... although, in my case, this is about 2 weeks' worth of mail and happens about once every 3rd month - as compared to their weekly events! :p

Anywho, before the PC additions, here's a li'l something from UD to surprise my nephew and his buddy, who form the battery for Manchester East Little League's All Star team... the pics were actually much nicer than what the creation of the cards did to the resolution, but still pretty happy with them... the kids'll get a charge out of them, and UD turned these around MUCH faster than any of my pending redemptions!!! I made each kid 25 of each card.

Matt's my nephew... 12 year old fireballing southpaw and 3 time NH State All Star. Hoping he keeps throwing, with what even decent southpaws can make in the bigs, to take care of me in my old age! ;)

OK, on to the goodies. First up, some eBay scores:
Howe-26001.jpg

Seller took my Best Offer on this one...

HoweSOTT07001.jpg

HoweTril009.jpg

These both came via a smooth deal with avsalot. Thanks, Darin, for an easy deal, bud.

These came off the 'bay as well, and I'm in the process of enlisting TCDaniels to work his magic to make me cut sig cards... although the Orr, as it turns out, may be too large to do anything with - at least as a card! My bad. Anyway, you can barely make out in between the images the GAI COAs that came with both. Two very nice examples...

And some new Bourques for the PC...

I might not have bit on this piece, but it's pretty cool. A lithograph with Bourque's sig, numbered 848/1077, I ended up with some wall space when I flipped the Thornton 1/1 Original Artwork, so while I'd planned to hang it at work, I have an opening in my home shrine. The $25 shipping charge was $10 more than my winning bid! :D

BrqueUltBase1002.jpg

Bourque Ultimate base off the 'bay... Just missed the right one, Bruce... it's #78 of 90!

BqueUltPtc004.jpg

A cool example of the "regular" Ult patch off the 'bay...

And for my 4 stars ('cause 3 ain't enough when you FINALLY have some decent mail to show off!!!):

#4: A decent eBay win with another Best Offer being accepted by the seller:
BqueCapt010.jpg

#3: An easy deal with frankiefives from right here on HI:

#2: An Orr auto in another deal here on HI, this time from Cloutier39 (Jonathan), with lightning fast delivery! This was more of a recovery mission in that I'd had this one a while ago, but let it go in a trade for a Bourque 1/1 complete jersey.

#1, and it's not Orr? That's right. It's Ray... but it's a stellar example of what is my one and only piece from The Cup - kind thanks to Kevin (bungle77) for not jumping in when he saw I had done so... won it with the only bid made, for what I think was a very fair price:

Anyway, that's all for now. I have another 5 cards incoming and more PayPal fun money available now that the Thornton 1/1 has found a new home. Now that you know what I like, LMK if you have anything that may tickle my fancy!

Thanks for looking!

Dave,
Sweet looking haul, I love the Mr Hockey and Orr autos  But that First Star is awesome, very cool indeed.
Congrats and thanks for sharing. :)

Wow, sweet mail haul Dave!! The kids cards are sweet and the team name "billys bar" is classic!! Something they will always cherish as I know I would have at that age!!
Thumbs up on the Captain's C also one of my favorite ITG Ultimate sets!! :)

Great stuff Dave! Those little leaguer cards are cool, how'd you get them made?

Love the Howes but the Bourque is definitely the 1st star! Pretty nice coupla patch pieces on it! Have fun with TCDaniels creation, I should do that someday, he's awesome!

Dave, Some outstanding pieces. That Lithograph will look great on the wall and those last few cards are real stunners. I know how tough some of those H & P Heroes autos can be. I was lucky enough to snipe the one and only Leetch that ever surfaced..... Great stuff. Mike

Love the Bourques esp. the EE

Makes me miss the days when I used to collect Ray - Congrats on some great pickups!

Way to go Large Dave, that is an impressive haul to say the least, sweet
Howe inkage, nice to pick an Orr auto, but those Borqies are amazing.
congrats, Dave

I was kinda surprise to hear the Orr arrived today, heard horror stories about packages travelling by Expresspost from Canada to the US that take forever.
Glad it arrives safe a sound

Thanks for all your comments, gang.

DredJaw, the UD site has a section for custom card making, where they provide the formats to choose from and you download your pics and vital stats, etc. Pretty reasonably priced for something they'll be able to hold on to and remember one of the cooler parts of being a kid!!!

Dave - my oh my you have outdone yourself!!!!!!!!

Is that your last mail post until sept (j/k) ????????/

Thanks for showing all of the goodies.
