This has been a pretty good game with the Mets going up in the top of the 5 the inning with a walk and pair of doubles to take a 2-0 lead. Pujols comes right back with a home run in the bottom of the 5th to close the gap, cards would score another to tie the score before going ahead in the 6th inning and later adding a pinch hit home run by Chris Duncan to make it 4-2 Cards. Still time for the Mets to come back

Cards close out the game for a 4-2 win to go up 3 games to 2. Mets have the hammer now to see if they can use it. I still think the Mets will pull this off but a couple of my buddies think the Cards have it in the bag now.

GO CARDS! woo hoo! Now lets see if they can close it out. Everyone was doubting them with the Padres and the Mets and oops..they just happen to be leading the series and putting a must win in the Mets lap. Great game though, nice close ball game with the starting pitchers still leaving it all on the line. Mets won't go down without a fight and I have a feeling it will be a long day for the bullpen tonight judging from Carpenter's last outing.
