The Baltimore Orioles added much-needed experience to their starting rotation Saturday, acquiring right-hander Kris Benson from the New York Mets for right-handers Jorge Julio and John Maine.

Benson went 10-8 with a 4.13 ERA in 28 starts for New York last year. Despite spending all of April on the disabled list, he finished third on the Mets' staff in wins and starts.

His wife is going to be upset. She made a big stink a few weeks ago when the first started talking about trading Benson. I think that she posed for Playboy or was going to. Not to sure about the details.

That is funny Duke. I wish Kris could get back to the way he was in 1998 he was one of the top pitching prospects in baseball with the Pirates. I was thrilled to get his autograph in 99 at the old stadium he was very personal and talked to us after the game. His poor wing has never been the same. I hope he can help out the Orioles. I think perhaps I would rather his wife graph now lol...jason
