So I was searching ebay last night and came accross a card that I would have love to add to one of my collections. It only had about a half hour maybe a bit more left on it when I stumble on it. It is auction format with a BIN, with no bids so far.

Item description clearly states that if you are an international buyer (also states that Canada is international) to please contact for shipping rates before bidding.

I do so. I get no answer before auction closes. I know I took that chance, I knew it could happen.

Item goes unbid. No biggie.

Item then shows up re-listed this time with both a higher BIN price and a higher starting price. What a friggin burn.:|:|:|:|

Usually when an item doesn't sell, most did not like the start price, so why not increase it.:|:|:|

So now the item is still there for another short time auction with a price now that is out of my range that I would have paid for it before if they simply followed their own rules.

Sorry for the rant, I don't do it often, and it is pretty senseless, but is it me without the brain?

Thats why its always good to have a friend in the states that can throw a bid on something for you and buy for you if necessary! Whats the item? Want to send me a PM?

Simple..the seller received your message...figured he had a "fish on the hook" and decided that if you wanted he was going to make you pay...therefore, he increased the price.

It's greedy SOB's like that that make me truly dislike this hobby at times. But as they say, Karma.

Here's to hoping you find that card elsewhere for a better price and that seller can go without a sale due to his greed.

Yeah, didnt see it that way. Almost would have been better to let it go. Now he know he has at least 2 person interested. Maybe when it goes by without a bid again he will return it to the original price.

Hope you end up with it.

Bingo Jay.

Chris......If you must go after the card then you'll pay but to be honest,I wouldn't play his game and let it slide on by.Good luck on whatever you decide

I have already decided I am not going to bid on it. It was at the high end of what I would have paid had I won it with the opening bid. Now I will just look at it. His loss. I understand why he did it, but in the end it was nothing more than a poorly thought out plan. If I thought the price was that great, I would have just hit the BIN. I have no issue with paying what I think a fair price is and leaving when it goes beyond that. He out priced probably the only person who would have paid the amount it was at.

I refuse to bid against myself.

Thanks guys, I didn't really expect any responses, just needed to vent it out.

Print run on the card is a jersey numbered card /9

Not the end of the world, but would have been nice. I saw one end at a lower price in the last week.
