Mission Accomplished: 05/06 SPX 221 Set

My last two cards arrived today to complete the set. I was lucky enough to pull 2 Crosby RC's so it made obtaining the set a littler cheaper. I ended up having to buy some of ebay and special thanks goes out to Ferrian1 for trading me the Ovechkin RC and about 15 other cards.

I am going to try and upgrade the white swatches and obtain the SPX cards which were released in the Rookie Update.

Saweeet lookin set. Love that SPx design last year. I sure hope they bring back the Jumbo swatches next year. Now all you need is all the Flashback Fabrics. Mike

Mike,I thought about it but when I saw the list FF SP's and what they are selling for, I decided to keep my arm and leg rather then selling them to try and acquire the FF's

I hear ya man. I was actually screwing around. I think I saw an Owen Nolan FF sell for like $600 or something stupid a ways back and even an idiot like me wouldn't dump that kinda loot into a set like that. BTW, If you want to upgrade one or two of the Rangers RC's I may have an extra 2 color Hollweg and maybe a nicer Montoya. Shoot me a PM if interested.... Mike

Bruce, If the shoe fits... Hey, don't worry I'm a Master Idiot too. I've been working on a 03-04 Beehive Master set since the stuff came out.

Wonder if I should change my title... "Bruce Almighty, Master Idiot"? One of these days I'll get the set done and scan it all - will take about 72 hours to scan... if I recall correctly, there's something like 3200 cards in total in that set, with all the gold/spectrum versions... What the hell was I thinking?

Oh... and REALLY nice job on completing this subset! I agree with others... it's a really nice design and looks great completed. Too bad a bunch of the cards got damaged during production - the middle of the "R" was bent on hundreds of cards.
