Look who I ran into at my local ice rink yesterday. I was walking in and right before I went inside, I heard "How are You?" I looked over to the bench and sitting with a beautiful blonde was Mr. Vokoun!! We have met several times before and talked, that's how he knew me.. He was with his wife. We started talking and I told him I had his 13-14 Stanley Cup Playoff Home Game Issued jersey I was hoping to get him to sign and he said no problem.

We talked for about 20 minutes or so...we even exchanged phone numbers to meet up at some point as he says he has a game worn glove for me to add into my collection ( I asked him to buy a piece from him last time I met him)....but he says he wont let me pay for it! I cant wait to get it in hand and show it off as well!

Fantastic story and a great gesture on his part! I have always hoped to speak with Rene Bourque about my collection. Its great to hear about players genuinely taking an interest in fans who follow them closely!

Vokoun is awesome. I've gotten auto's from him before and he takes his time and lays down beauties every time.

On a side note I mentioned to Eric Nystrom one time about the ridiculous collection of his cards I amassed and he seemed to have no interest whatsoever. Seem to think everyone had a collection like I have
