Hi all,

I saw a card I wanted graded BGS 9 (card came out 2 years ago) and passed and went with a raw version. Basically looked like the same condition as the BGS 9 and was priced lower.

Can a grade of a 9 on a modern card actually hurt the sales of it do you think? Or should I of went with the graded version? Note, graded/ungraded doesn't matter for any PC cards of mine.

I believe for the majority of modern cards anything less than 9.5 BGS or 9 PSA will deter most buyers.

What Fritz said. Unless you're 0.5 away from a 9.5 and have a 9.0 on surface (which sometimes you can improve by cleaning the card with a microfiber cloth), then maybe you could do that and get it regraded and get a 9.5. But yeah, otherwise there's not much point in getting a 9 copy if the card is readily available raw or in higher grades.
