So, that sleep thing isn't happening right now, and that's going to **** in about 3 hours when I need to get up, but, deal with that later.
For now, the long over due mail call
starts when I went up north on vacation at the end of July/start of August.
The family and I took some boxes (3 to be exact) up with us.
Boxes were:
02-03 Pacific Crown Royale Hobby
03-04 Pacific Calder Retail
01-02 Pacific Adrenaline Hobby (All for me
)
the other two were shared...meaning my sister got all the good cards, except the dual patch, which she doesn't know about
I'm just going to post all the pictures, in no order what so ever, but here they are.
Crown Royale Rookies, you can read them all except, I think Gleason, Carlo, and...the blue, cajanek? no clue. not rick nash or zetterberg, how bout that
(scanned this weeks ago)
Lords of the Rink
Lindros and Scott Young are the jersey's...that coulda been better or worse, I don't have those two.
Joseph, Richter, Ber****y Red's and oh, there's that Nash fellow.
Naslund Jersey, so I pulled a decent one. I forget the other jersey, I think it was Heatley, yeah, I'm going to go with Heatley. Also, the swatch is SILVER, not white, it's shiny.
BYKOV! OH BOY!
and a Ryan Malone, think that was my best card out of the calder...
BRENDL! and a longer odds modano from adrenaline.
I haven't decided yet on this Rob, if you're still in need, though I haven't seen ya around lately. And Ray ferraro, there's a winner, couldn't have been an oiler or leaf for me? I've met ray, he was quite a nice guy to me, He signed a really old card of his, 1991 UD If I recall, somewhere in there, he was sporting the old caps jersey. and a brett hull insert,
You could call this two things,
1) Better than Brendl
2) Huselius
neither are that thrilling heh.
A longer odds Theo (I think) nice lookin card. Have I mentioned I like Adrenaline?
Drury insert, DATSYUK ROOKIE, pretty much kisses my kovy shot goodbye, and also, I only got one rookie in the box, which ****ed, but thankfully it was that one, only one that could have been better was a Kovy.
and the card that competes for top spot w/ the Malone Calder, a Moore rook.
So that was the card portion of the trip northwards,
which also rocked by the way, if anyone gave a rats behind.
I saw a pair of giant snapping turtles in the lake, which was a first, thing was massive, probably a foot and a half in diameter on the shell. the smaller one was not as big, but, still impressive.
Lake was really warm, which was nice, good eats, and the sun, etc. etc. you get the jist, you entered for cards of Mike Comrie, none of this crap
OH!
I almost forgot that double patch.
A Sweet Leetch, I do believe it's from a Liberty jersey, The Richter has some Green thing on it in the corner. Not sure about that one, *looks at mike or chris*
The Hemsky is from rb77, or Andrew. Thanks much for the deal, which included something in the next scan....
The Torres is also c/o rb, thanks again bud.
The O'neill was purchased for a buck or three @ the shop after he signed with the leafs, The Marty Lapointe was my ill fated trip to BAP pack land, boy did I repeat that mistake and end up with a Weinhandl...ouch.
In the mail, a Comrie All World GOld parallel.
Comrie's first appearance in the mail call!
Appearance #2.
Iginla/Comrie Bowman dual jersey.
I've had the dual patch /20 forever, since the release pretty much.
Quite pleased to finally knock this one off.
Vinny Lecavalier regular Vintage tallboy (SLIGHTLY DINGED on the top right corner, couldn't get a good photo, it's FT, I know these are somewhat hard to come by.)
The Comrie is the gold version, #/99,
I still need the regular...
Let's see.
Ryan Smyth UD BAP Auto GOLD /10
Mike Comrie Premier BUYBACK Auto
Darcy Tucker PS Reserve BLUE #/350
Mike Comrie UD BAP 1st period Parallel #/100 (I think)
Mike Comrie UD BAP 3rd Period parallel #/10!! (WOOT)
got the pair of Comrie's for 10$
Moving along as I yammer on.
Joined the Megadeth fan club sometime ago,
this was included in the package.
Real autos, obviously, of the current lineup.
also came w/ a cool T-shirt, standard letter, member dog tag type deal(Not metal though, cardboard thing on a lanyard, ca'nt find the word. an acoustic CD, Think that's it, plus the usual fan club stuff, that website, meet and greet chances, etc. etc.
This next item carriers a story with it, as usual.
My dads g/f works at Dynamic mutual.
Mike weir was recently picked up as someone they are now sponsoring, and as a result, him and his caddy, Brennan Little, were making an appearance at the office she works at. How convenient! Last season at work I was given a 2003 Masters Hat,
So yeah,
1+1 = 2, and I have myself a Mike Weir and Brennan little signed 2003 masters hat. I wasn't present at the signing, so no pictures with mike, or anything neat that he had to say,
Just some memo.
A picture:
Its in a hat protector, which is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen as far as protecting memorabilia goes.
It's basically a big plastic hat with a top and bottom piece, and the hat goes in the middle....brilliant.....
Very nice piece though, its funny because when I got the hat, there was a choice of cool shirt w/ crappy hat, or this hat w/ a really lame shirt. I took the hat with hopes that at some point in time (Glen abbey golf course is just down the road) I would be able to get it signed by Mike.
Man did I luck out.
So thanks to my dads g/f on this one heh.
I was out and about this past tuesday, which we all know was the release date for this little dvd.
I have yet to have a chance to watch it.
Hopefully Monday, once hockey starts it's going to get insanely busy.
oh,
also picked up these on Tuesday.
it's a PAIR of Standing Room only's w/ a nice obstructed view.
I suppose we'll see the spot on the cement where we're supposed to stand, but, unlikely to stay there.
I GET TO SEE MIKE PLAY. Be the first time since the outdoor game in Hamilton. I'm hoping to go down early and get a shot at meetin em again, but, with Gretzky coaching the team...that may be a bit more difficult than I had hoped.
Well,
That's it.
A long read,
I think I'm off to zzzz
Big Jays game tomorrow that I will be attending, score me a Leafs Touque for the long winter that approaches.
comments welcome, and appreciated as always.
I'll try and keep it under a month till the next installment.
Checka later
