It's no longer in print, but you can usually find it some where used (Amazon, eBay, etc)

It's a book from 1995 by Pete Williams that lays out the history of trading cards and how it went from a bonus with gum (or cigarettes) to the multi billion dollar industry it is today (or it was back in 1995).

It's goes pretty deep into how McWilliam and Upper Deck came to be. Quite the eye opener.

If you can get your hands on a copy, it's well worth the read. I picked mine up in 1997 and I've read it maybe four times since.
