Hello, So this is the first year i've really been serious into collecting and I spent a lot of the time going after Fabbri and Parayko Rookie cards. My other big focuses on the blues have been Tarasenko, Schwartz, Allen and Pietrangelo. Basically going After that young core
I don't have the big bucks for box/case breaks so I have been primarily doing group breaks, although I do try out cheap panini stuff and SPA from time to time. I also buy a lot of singles on Ebay, which it has been a pretty good year for thanks to Mcdavid mania and huge print runs.
10. To start it off we have Artifacts! Enjoyed this set and got my first two autos (although they didn't arrive until much later!). Also around this time got a ton of Fabbri and Parayko Young guns.
9. Next up some variety, a couple goalie hits to commemorate their record breaking Jennings season. These were from group breaks
8. I was able to snag a few great deals along the way for Schwartz rookies, here are a couple of /99s
7. Another group break hit was a Jake Allen redemption Dominion RPA /99... being a redemption I had to wait to see what kind of patch I would get, and it was worth the wait!
6. One "first" of many this year was my first slabbed card, part of my growing collection of Future Watch Auto Patches /100 for the blues:
5. One set that I don't think got enough credit this year was Black, Black ice signatures in particular were amazing. (Cameo from Ice Superb Scripts also!):
4. Overall my Favorite release this year by far was Premier with these gorgeous designs (bonus triple stick!):
3. While Premier came in an stole my heart, I also really liked SPA, and as mentioned previously I am working on getting those FWAP /100. I have the Tarasenko redemption, so hopefully he gets around to signing those before he retires!
2. Lastly of course is The Cup! I am unfortunately still in the progress of getting a deal on a Fabbri RPA, but I have Parayko already locked down!
1. And....drumroll please...#1 coming in just past the deadline (today) but i'm including anyway is:
Super happy to have this (barely) 4 color rookie for the Captain!.
