My Bertuzzi "Rainbow" jersey collection

For the past few years I have been trying to accumulate at least one GAME WORN jersey from every place Bert has played in his NHL career. Well, today I finally put the final nail in the coffin to my Bertuzzi JERSEY collection. The last one I needed finally arrived :beer: All jerseys' come with official LOA's from either Meigray or the team itself. Here they are in reverse order of the teams and their jerseys:

2009-2011 Detroit Red Wings (O.K....I dont have a CURRENT Detroit jersey, but I do have one from his first stint with them )

2008-09 Calgary Flames

I have a GREAT photomatch of the puck marks on the arm.

2007-08 Anaheim Ducks

2006-07 Detroit Red Wings

2006-07 Florida Panthers

2005-06 Vancouver Canucks (3rd)

2005-06 Vancouver Canucks

2003-04 Vancouver Canucks "NHL All Star Skills Competition" jersey

obviously just "event worn", but hey, it's unique...lol

And last but not least, the jersey I have been waiting to buy since I decided to take on this project.

1996-97 New York Islanders (3rd)

I'm 99% sure I have photomatched this jersey already to the back of Berts 1998 Leaf Fractral Matrix card. You can see the where the "25 anniversary" patch was removed in both if you look closely.

I'm sure I'll still pick up a few more jerseys of his that interest me, but all that is just icing on the cake. An Islanders Fisheman jersey would be nice, but I haven't come across one yet. Berts' Olympic jersey is out there, I just need to find the person who owns it If any of you have ANY Bertuzzi game used equipment, give me a shout. I'm always looking for more :beer: Thanks for the look.

As much as it pains me, my hands were tied. I had to have at least one of them all. I actually also have Berts Flames helmet, skates, and a stick. I found a guy who had access to a lot of Flames equipment.

To tell you the truth, the one that pained me the most to buy was the Florida jersey. He only dressed for about 7 games with them, with 4 games being away games, so that left 3 games in this jersey. At the time, Bert wore 3 jerseys per game (sweaty Italian), so, realistcally, the jersey saw about 3 period of wear only...or 1 game. I could have gotten a "game issued" for cheaper, but the OCD in me forced me to buy a game WORN.

I'm kind of glad I already have a Detroit jersey, as they cost a heck of a lot more now than before. If Detroit miraculously makes it to the finals, instead of Vancouver, I just might have to re-think getting another one. Home red this time

As of right now, I have a few hanging on the walls in my "man cave". I swap them out every once in a while, and flip them from back to front. There's only enough wall space for 5 to be shown at a time...lol. The room never stays the same for very long

nice collection , one of my fav players i have a gu stick from his rookie or 2nd year used to have a photo from getty but don't remember where i put it would go nice with the islander jersey . plus a ton of rookie cards , autos and gu of bert
