My largest $$$ "singles" deal in years. It was so "Magnificent" to add these cards! All Mario, all 15 cards!
This deal came about by a weird fluke. When I sold off 99% of my cards about 20 years ago, I included the card name/number/set in the feedback I left on eBay. I recently went back to see if I could message any of those buyers and see if they still had the cards I sold them back then.
This seller didn't have memory of those singles being in his p.c., and he in fact gave me the "bad news" that he stopped collecting in 2008 and sold off his "best cards".... Well, except for a bunch of his "66" cards.
Last week, we spent several evenings messaging and talking cards and him cracking open what he still had in monster boxes (protected appropriately) and we got to dealing.
Turns out he lives in Saskatchewan and I am in Manitoba - easy peasy! A few more messages later and I acquired 15 amazing singles - 6 for 2002-03 BAP First Edition (a couple I had NEVER seen before!) and 9 more for my 2002-03 ITG Parkhurst Retro.
Am I getting too predictable with the S&T posts!? So without further adieu, today was mail day. In all hoensty, this kind of kills my hobby spend for the next few months, but man oh man! Let's do it!
2002-03 BAP First Edition
I had never seen the Quad nor the Triple jerseys before in the 2.5 years I've been chasing this set. So, here we are! The All-Star card has some foil damage at the top, but It's good for a placeholder for now.
2002-03 ITG Parkhurst Retro
Yes, that is one of the /5 Autos! This is 5/5 and I already owned 3/5. Those quads are stated print run /10 and I own 6 of each now.
