Well, I didn't post my Hot Prospects box break, so I thought I would add it with yesterday's breaks. Now for those of you waiting for my nice mail thread that I promised, you'll have to wait a bit longer, as I've gotten some nice stuff but not the golden goose I've been anticipating. Right now I'm still awaiting four nice cards, three with some 3+ color patches and two with at least four pieces of memorabilia.
For now, here are the recent breaks, starting with one box of Hot Prospects.
The Krejci continues my string of ALWAYS pulling one-color patch/auto RCs from this product. The Berard Hot Materials is a Red Hot, as is the Naslund Hot Commodities. I also pulled a Rick DiPietro Hot Commodities which is not pictured. Nothing to get excited about except for possibly the Krejci. Everything is available for trade.
Yesterday I got my three boxes of Between the Pipes. I'll let you look at the goods before I make comments.
I do like the product, even the back of The Rival League cards with an old school format. The Luongo and Lehtonen both has some nice thick seams, and it was nice to pull one SP (Thomas) with the autos. Everything is available for trade except the Thomas (needless to say this is reserved for Andy) and the 3 Masks (Legace, Fernandez, Gerber), which leaves me hunting for the other 27 masks. I also pulled the The Future of Goaltending inserts of Irving, Rask, Halak, Pogge, Schwarz, and Sexsmith, which are also for trade. Besides the masks, I'd love to be able to pick up any Justin Peters, Cam Ward, or Michael Leighton from this product.
Here's the surprise for me with this product. For all three boxes, 1 game used, 1 auto, 1 mask. I might do that for one box out of three, but definitely haven't hit things like that before. Oh well, it wouldn't deter me from opening another box if I had one in front of me.
At least I had this 03-04 Parkhurst Rookie pack that I picked up with the BTP to make sure I wasn't disappointed.
OK, so maybe the Hale RC is not the best, but I'll gladly take a gold version of a Terry Sawchuk memorabilia card any day! Both cards are available for trade.
