Well I had a nice post ready to go when my computer decided to freeze. So, as I'm slightly frustrated at the moment, I'm just going to post my 1 box break of Ultimate Memorabilia 10. I will say that the Expo was a blast as always, it was great putting some faces to names I've known for years, and it was nice having my local LCS with a booth, represented by my friend RJ and his lovely fiancee.
All right I've changed my mind. I will post three of my favourite Expo pickups before I post the UM 10 break.
One of the highlights of my weekend was meeting boxing legend George Chuvalo, a man who twice fought Ali. Thanks to Dr. Price and the wonderful In The Gameland, I was able to obtain his autograph:
A very nice gentleman who took the time to learn everyone's name. Thanks ITG!
One of my bigger pickups was the following card (Not the Steen):
2010 Topps UFC Georges St. Pierre Auto
Although I was happy to get the Steen base from Score (great set), I was defintely pleased to obtain an auto of GSP for the price of a box. Glad to finally have one.
One of my favourite Expo traditions is grabbing a cheap box of one of my all time favourite sets, 04-05 ITG Franchises. Usually I can only find USA East, but this year I came across USA West for a great price. Up until the last pack, my only hits were my first two Cleveland Barons auto cards (Gillies Meloche and Greg Smith). I hoped that something would pop out that would make the box. And it did:
04-05 ITG USA West Teammates Gold Version /20 Steve Yzerman & Dino Ciccarelli
A beautiful card of two HOFers! I'm thinking of keeping this, but if anyone is interested, please send a PM.
Now, onto the UM 10 breaks. First off, it was fun just opening the packs and ITG's Redemption program really made it worth while. I went in with the goal of landing an Emblem/Tag/Number /1. Let's see how I did.

Not a bad start. I really like the base design and the Les Capitaines set looks great. The neat thing about the Sakic is that the jersey is from the 2001 All Star game. Nice touch! All of these cards are available.

Wayne Gretzky Redemption Assists /19
Here we go! It's always nice to pull a Gretzky Redemption and the Parent looks great. The Roy isn't too shabby either. Again, the base cards look phenominal. The Gretzky and Parent might find their way into my PC, but the Sedin and Roy are available.

Zdeno Chara Stick Work /19
Gordie Howe Redemption Silver Points /9
This was a great way to end the break. The dual auto is a nice addition to my PC and I really love the Howe since it's two colours and a piece of a New England Whalers jersey! Very happy. The Hull and Chara are available.
That brings us back to the second pack. It must have been good:

UM 10 Misson Accomplished! I got the Ultimate Tag 1/1 I was looking for! Plus the Gilmour base is cool. Originally I was trying hard to move the Koivu, but I might just hang on to it for a while. Still, if there are any big Koivu collectors out there, feel free to PM me. Other than the Gilmour, the rest is available.
