Does anyone remember the Panini National Treasures boxes?

I personally got a loaded case with every box containing more cards than stated. I remember one box had 14 total cards. 4 of them wer printing plates.

My Top 3 hits were:

1.Nathan MacKinnon ARP /99
2.Gordie Howe Signature Legends /10
3.Evgeni Malkin Stick Nameplate /1 Redemption

My questions before I would ever consider this Panini product:

1. Would Panini honor redemptions? Big hit or small?
2. At 400+ a box is that overpriced?
3. Anyone else get a box with 10+ cards?

Most of the packs were loaded as far as number of cards. It was Panini's last licensed product so everything had to go.

I think Panini would still honour the redemptions but you should probably reach out to them first.

As for the value at $400 per pack now? I'd say it's a little iffy unless you hit monster cards. I don't think the RPA's sell for nearly as much as they did at release, including MacKinnon. And if I'm not mistaken, there's no Tarasenko RPA in the set. That said, there's plenty of nice stuff, and I think they seeded the boxes to have at least a couple real nice hits in each.

Yea, I did a lot of case breaks of the stuff and Panini would stuff the boxes with as many cards that would fit. Often had 2 or 3 more than advertised

They did that with most of their high end releases. I remember 10/11 Dominion was like that. Promised 6 cards or something and was getting way more than that. Panini was good like that.

You mean I can't get $3,500 (gift payment- no fees even :dance: ) for another MacKinnon ARP? The best sale I've ever made!

I was just floored I pulled a 4 color MacKinnon in the 1st box of my case.... I bought my son all of his goalie gear that year for free and then bought another case but that wasn't as loaded.

Best card was a Flyers Treasure Chests patch /25--- every single swatch was 2-3 colors, it was a gorgeous card. Sold that for 300.00

They just honoured a redemption for me 2 weeks ago that was expired by more than 2 years. I didn't even have to call ahead i just type the code in and it worked. That's the third time ive done that in the last 3-4 months
