Hey all... The title says it all:

Not a card but rather a sticker. This was a reincarnation of the popular 1971-1972 Power Player sets.
You received these when you filled up with gas and inserted them into a book that was provided.

Your sticker is:

1988-89 Esso All-Stars #30 Mark Messier

Thanks man!

I think you have the year about right, but they are not strickers though (as Mike can confirm). I have carried around the Gretzky and Howe in my wallet for the past 20+ years. No family pics in there...just Gretz and Gordy :)

Nyet. Read the back:

"Moisten surface to stick in collectors album".

Did you superimpose Bert's head over Gretz and Gordie Brian?

I don't think they were actual stickers either...but the card backs had a water-soluble adhesive did they not?

they sure did, & they were like nailing snot to a brick wall. I remember having a lot of them fall out of my album & using a glue stick afterwards

I still have that book - I think I was like 7 years old and my dad would do lots of travelling and always bring the cards home for me when he filled up
