Verified Trader,
Hopefully someone can help shed some light on these mystery patches.
For the life of me, I can't remember the Flyers wearing a black jersey this past year (2011-12). They may have, as I don't have cable and missed quite a few games, but I've searched for any kind of special commemorative patches or jerseys and come up blank. The patches all seem to be letters that are smaller than the size letters used in the nameplate, and none of them match up to the players names.
I have one of the Cup Signature Patches at home with what looks to be a "P" in it, but I forgot to check whether it was game-used or event-worn.
Here's a few of the cards:

So as you can see, some of the possible letters include: H, S, P, O, B/E, Y, A, R. At first, I thought FLYERS could have been one of the patches, but I don't recall ever seeing the team name spelled out on the jersey before.
If anyone has any insight into this, please help me out. It's been keeping me up at night!
...kidding, but I'd really love to know where these patches are from.
Thanks,
Mike
