So a couple weeks ago I win this.....

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=220294787801&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT&ih=012

Not a bad price but I did pay $13 for shipping. Two weeks later I still have not recieved the card:( Oh well, I figure I'll wait until the end of the week and then drop the seller an email.

THEN TODAY....

I was just surfing through and found this.....

WTF???????? That is MY CARD!!!!! Both sellers have outstanding feedback. One located in Ohio and the other in California. I immediatly emailed both. I got a response from the original seller asking if I had the card, WHICH I DONT. I havnt heard back from the other guy as of yet. Just wondering if anyone has dealt with either seller or has some advice on what I should do. Its all too fishy to me. Luckily its only $45.

Just a guess but perhaps the original seller sent out to the wrong addy or mixed up your card with another. Did you receive any bubble mailers containing card(s) that you did not buy? Mike

I've bought from jaak99 numerous times and he is one of my favourite ebay sellers. I doubt he is involved in any shady business. I think the suggestion above from Mike is legitimate since jaak99 has very large volumes of card coming in and out.

Yeah sounds like a mistaken shipment (but then why would jaak99 list it??)...

I would submit a PayPal claim - you paid $13 for mailing with tracking (I would hope!!) so if he can't prove it was delivered to your address, you'll get the money back.

Only 45 $?

I never paid that much for a card!

If I do one day, I hope it will come home. If not, I will fight very hard to get it. Wathever how good the reputation seller is.

In fact, if one day I pay 45 $ for a card and I don't get it, I will probably leave the hobby. I work to hard for my money to spend 45 $ on what is supposed to by a hobby and getting nothing in return...

Jaak is an honest seller - but he does have issues with returning emails at times.
When you contacted him - did you forward the link to your winning auction???

Your issues are likely with the seller not with jaak - since the original seller failed to get you your purchase.

Alright. I have some responses. First off from the original seller.

"Have you rec'vd your card from us yet? LMK I am contacting this guy right now".

My response... No.

Then again from the original seller...

"I promise you will get 100% of your money back. I have a feeling i mixed up your modano with his modano they shipped on the same day. If that was the case then this guy who rec've it is a total loser for not notifying me. either way you will be out no money, promise!! sent him an email and waiting to hear."

Ok, I can believe that and from his feedback I am not really worried. He seems very motivated to make it right.

Then from the seller of the card now jaak99....

"Yes, I have this card."

My response. Ok, how did you get it and if it was misshipped why are you selling it??

I have yet to hear back from him. This is the latest from the original seller.....

"Ok so it seems like my mixup! The other guy responded to me. How would you like to handle this. 1) I can have him send me the card back and ship it out to you and have you ship his card back and I will ship to him (I will pay for all of the shipping of course) or 2)you keep the card that is on its way and I give you a 100% refund of your money. I am very sorry for my error LMK what you would like to do. "

Well, I really just want the Modano. I am curious as to what cacardshark sent me(I still dont have anything in hand)

All in all, the original seller has been very polite and has answered all of my questions right away. jaak99 on the other hand has not really been cooperative. Also seems kind of shady that he recieved a card that he MUST HAVE KNOWN wasnt his and decided to sell it anyways. Any suggestions??

My advice is to leave the hobby now man. You will have packages go missing, you will have problems with ebay sellers and you will have a laundry list of other problems. Like everything else in life, you have to take the good with the bad. If you are going to have a zero tolerance policy, I suggest you get out.

Just pay with paypal or insure the package and all will be fine dude!

Sounds like their both honest individuals with an honest mistake having occurred. You don't just pick one transaction out of 1000 that you're going to screw up.

I'm guessing this is the card that he was supposed to receive, and got yours instead.

jaak99 Is a very very good dealer. I have bought over 20 different things from him and have never had a problem. i would say just a mix up. The man dose do a lot of Business.

I say win the card from Jaak99 whatever it costs....then don't pay :) That'll get his attention and perhaps he will be a little more responsive to you. I have to say that Jaak appears to the one who is totally in the wrong here. Good luck!!

Good to see we all didn't learn our lesson from the previous thread about taunt-bidding.

I have had dealings with this seller, all positive.

I have also been in the same situation as you with a seller mixing up his shipments. Even though it took 2 months to get the card, everyone in the situation was honest and got what they payed for in the end. It involved the card in my sig.

I have to say this again. cacardshark has been nothing but great, aside from loosing the card int he first place:rolleyes: I am going to go with the first option and ask that he "retrieve" the Modano and send it to me, with me sending back whatever is coming my way. I still dont have an answer from jaak99 regarding why he would sell a card he knew was not his. Needless to say, I will not be dealing with him in the future. Too bad, he has some nice cards.

That's got NOTHING to do with "taunt-bidding" at all. It has to do with winning a card that rightfully your already. He asked what should he do...I responded as to what I would do. Next time you are up for a moderator nomination, you got my vote

I have had a number of transactions with jaak99 and my guess is that he didn't really pay attention to the card and was just trying to flip it - I know he buys and sells a ton of stuff so I can see how it would happen.

Hope it all works out for you - always nice to pick up some sweet PC material!

Actually, it is a form of harassment which is what was talked about in various threads in the last month or so. Encouraging this type of behavior is against H.I. rules. I'm no moderator either but I agree with JTR.

I agree with Giuseffi--if this is "SERIOUS" then I pray you never have something lost in the mail or have to deal with a seller who won't return emails. The whole point of the thread is now moot since the seller is offering to take care of it all for you.
