So I have these two redemptions that I have been waiting for for quite some time now:

SIDNEY CROSBY 2014-15 NHL UD PREMIER 2002-03 SUPER RAP TRUBUTE - STARS CD# SRV-SC #'D TO 25
and
SIDNEY CROSBY 2014-15 NHL UD PREMIER SIGNATURES CD# PS-SC NO #'ING

Should I give up and ask Upper Deck for a replacement? Please consider the following before poling your opinion:

My collection is only GU Pens cards from 04 and before, Upper Deck Premier 14-Present, and Panini Prime. The only cards outside of that I would be happy with are some GU big name RC.

I would love your vote and possibly an explanation below.

Let me know your thoughts!!

Thanks!

I would say keep waiting unless they can let you pick from a list of acceptable replacements.

Sounds like it is a narrow selection set so likely going to be best to wait.

Crosby is worth waiting. If you feel the need to ask for a different Crosby, keep waiting on the RAP, and ask for a replacement for the Premier Signatures.

I would contact Upper Deck customer service and go over potential options.
I had a number of 2014/15 The Cup Sidney Crosby redemptions and I asked for replacements. My recollection, it seems that they were lost or misplaced.

One of my redemptions was .......

2014-15 THE CUP SCRIPTED STICKS CD#SS-SC SIDNEY CROSBY #/35

...... AND it was replaced by the 15-16 version of that same card.

It also depends on your needs and patience.

Definitely wait it out. Crosby can take a while since he only does a few signings per year, but he always comes through. Wait it out :)

Agree with this. With the exception of his rookie year cards, every auto I've pulled of Crosby had been a redemption, and I've always received the card eventually.

Thanks everyone for your feedback! I don’t have a lot of experience with redemptions so I’m glad I was able to get some responses. I think my biggest concern is that he has signed his cards in the following two Upper Deck Premier releases. Is it possible the UD would stop perusing him to sign that years cards because he has already signed the last two Premier releases? Does that make sense? Haha (again, I don’t have a lot of experience with this)

Thanks for reading.

Eventually they will sit Crosby down and get caught up with prior releases. I would suspect that they had fresh Premier cards available at the time of their last Crosby signing, which they wanted to get into the product live if possible and have them back in time for packout. Next time they can play catch-up I would assume.

Funny, I’ve been waiting for that same Crosby super RAP for a long time and I often think if I should ask for ask for a replacement, and I always decide to keep waiting. Im not a huge Crosby collector but man the thought of having a crosby patch auto /25 in my collection is awesome.

Keep waiting! When he signs them you and I can post pics back on here. Or if you’re near toronto we can have a beer to celebrate
