Today is my birthday!!!! It marks a special day too!

Back when.... jersey cards were a BIG deal, as a kid when I found out a Game Worn Jersey card had a piece of a player's jersey... I HAD TO HAVE ONE

On my birthday in 2002 my dad took me too a card store, he wasn't one for spending hundreds on cards let alone $40 for a card

I was looking through the showcase for a jersey card I had long desired (there were like 50 hockey mem cards to choose from). There were many names, mostly mediocre guys from 2001-02 SPX rookie stars, 2002 Pacific Private Stock but nothing really too special. I remember my dad saying I could only get one after a solid 30 mins of shuffling through cards back and forth... So it would be a $25 jersey card of Eric Daze or Shane Doan... I was going to select Daze since he was the 2001 ASG MVP

out of nowhere int he wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy bottom corner that evaded (prob since he wasn't wearing Avs gear) my eyes until my dad said "pick something so we can leave"... was LOW AND BEHOLD MY LORD AND SAVIOR AND FAVORITE PLAYER GROWING UP (Peter Forsberg), I idolized this man (and Sakic TBF, I actually like super Joe more tbh lol), I did book reports on him, dressed for Halloween as him, scored goals with him on NHL HITZ 2002, and HAD to have this card....

Never gave this card up so glad I held onto it
Many cards have passed through my hands but I knew this one would be forever with me so even though its worth a few $$ plus shipping off ebay would grade a 5 at PSA... its one of my fav cards. Dad paid $40 for it back then in case youre wondering what they sold for!
