It is very unusual for me to encounter an old school Pro Set hockey card I've never seen before, and even rarer for me to find one I didn't know existed. This is one such card. I picked it up last year. At least through 2015, I'd never seen any reference to it in any Beckett guide.
The condition isn't great, but what would one expect from a card that was likely handed out as the bus rolled through town and stuffed into someone's pocket? Nice artifact though.
1970:Bobby Hull of the Chicago Blackhawks becomes the third player in NHL history to score 500 goals when he beats Ed Giacomin for his second goal of the game in a 4-2 victory against the New York Rangers at Chicago Stadium.
Pederson made a late charge for the Calder Trophy by ringing up 7 points against the Whalers on the last game of the season in 1982. It's still a team record, but it was not enough to overcome Dale Hawerchuk.
Well I closed my eyes picked a random box with stuff and then closed my eyes and picked a random card...
About this set, as a kid my first ever hobby box was 2001-02 SPX hockey and I got to my pull my first ever jersey card from a pack which was Sean Selmser, and then a Matt Davidson, AND.... a Dominik Hasek Stick/Jersey. When I was at a show a guy had a bunch of these (for like $30-$75) in cases like these ...
Now I have the same Gotta love sets where the cases are worth more than the cards XD
Bednar was a legend of my franchise mode on my old NHL 2004 game
