My 1/1 entry today is an Auto Rookie Shield card of Mark Stuart. I have a pretty good collection of his cards because he is from my town of Rochester, MN. He and his two brothers all played in the NHL. Mark had the much longer career. He is now an assistant coach for the Oilers.

His dad Michael served as the team physician for the United States men's team at the Winter Olympics in 1994, 2010, 2014 and 2022; at the World Championships in 2000 and 2013; and at the 2016 World Cup of Hockey. He also worked as the team physician for the United States men's junior team at the World Junior Championships in 2003 and 2004; and for the USA Hockey National Team Development Program at the IIHF World U18 Championships in 2001, 2002, and 2019. And he was also my orthopedic doctor at the Mayo Clinic and worked on my knee.

It is National Hockey Card Day today, so I went to a couple of my local card shops. Bought a box of Clear Cut at each, and this card popped out of the box that I bought at Maple Leaf Sports.
