FYI

Mailed a load of ebay stuff yesterday at my local P.O and was
told new rates coming as of 01/12. My $3.79 with CN22 form will now
be $5.00 (weight up to 200g) and my $5.90 bubble International up to
$7.50 + other across the board increases including within Canada.
They can't print off the rates until Jan. 12 ??? she was going by e-mail
sent to all P.O's.
Also, they will be returning bubbles/envelopes that do not have forms and
proper postage that cannot "bend".
You might want to ck with your local P.O's as if you have auctions, especially
store listings that end after the 11th with old rates new rate will be in.

Those aren't even accurate now - registered mail to the USA hasn't existed for about a year.

Welcome to the pain we felt a long time ago in the USA.

Pretty much made my eBay sales drop by 80% since most went to Canada.

COMC.com everyone go there so we don't have to waste so much money shipping. It is impossible to ship singles except for high end anymore. I just got back from the post office and ended up paying $1.85 plus ebay/paypal fees for someone to have 200 pogs that I "sold" on ebay. That is not $1.85 plus fees out of my sale that is postage cost me $13.85 on something I sold for $12 with ship...I was shocked and now rates are going up....Forget about it. I love stamps but I am so done with Canada post for shipping cards. Ill let COMC deal with it. I just hope their rates don't go up to ship to Canada.

You have a point but there you can't avoid CP to send your cards to COMC to begin with LOL.

From the pdfs the only prices going up are the postal meter and Indicia, which I don't have/use, so no change for me.

This is awesome. Not even Canada Post can accurately inform their customers what Canada Post is doing. It's incredible that even one of these bubble mailers arrives in the right place in a (relatively) reasonable (even with the regional inconsistencies) amount of time.

Interesting. My post office just told me last week that postage/rates weren't going up.

Same here! I asked the lady in charge at my regular Shoppers, and she said she hadn't heard anything on them going up, and she said they usually would have heard something by now if they were increasing stuff.

MY Postal outlet hasn't said anything to me and she normally gives me a head-up as I normally spend over $500/ month in postage anyways.... I will ask again and then make the choice what will be cheaper, deliver it by hand or by CP

Have a buddy that works for CP and the system behind the scenes is so messed up.No word on my end on a hike but not surprised if it is. If so.....

...raise a glass and here's to the people of Canada, happy new year and may your wallets become lighter and your services be cut back .Why Thank you Canada Post

We can't do anything so it's just as well to laugh.

touche. It is really unfortunate an essential service is so unaffordable. Maybe it is not essential but important non the less. Privatization of the world continues...
