New Cdn. Postal rate for Bubbles/Light Packet

News to me. Just checked one of my post office receipts and the only number it has on there is the customs form #. 1 or 2 of my $6.55 packages has also been lost in the past year, and the post office basically told me I was SOL in terms of finding out where it ended up. I'd be interested to know what service that is as well...

I can't speak for sending through the post office as I haven't done that in years however, we do have delivery confirmation now with most international destinations if you print through ebay or an online provider (stamps.com or one of the many others).

I hesitate to call it "tracking" as that is pretty random but delivery confirmation does come with all packages from the US to Canada (and many other countries as well). Obviousuly it costs gobs more now than it did but I believe that price is good up to a 3oz package (may be 2oz, can't remember for sure) which is still a fair amount of cards.

So, if you have the chance, always print through ebay. It is cheaper than the Post Office and comes with DC.

Ah, I go to the Post office from now on since I had an incident when printing online. I printed the label online an everything, and just dropped it in the box at the post office with a few other things. The package was to Germany if I remember correctly, a sweet Fleury SP Game Used Team Canada Marks. Anyway, the guy on eBay (with a respectable amount of positive feedback) claimed he never got it. I used the number that they provided me when I printed the label and took it to the post office. They said that they couldn't do anything to track it. Maybe Germany is one of the excluded countries for the tracking process? Anyway I always go to the P.O. now despite the 30 cents difference so I get a recipt that lists the destination of the package as well as the customs form #.

The customs form number is the tracking number and can be used to track to Canada. On usps.com it will only show tracking until it hits customs but you can track it after that on canadapost.ca

I've actually been shipping single cards to Canada in white envelopes which I tape completely around with the scotch packaging tape and I mail it as a letter. I can mail it to Canada for $1.65 instead of paying $9 for it in a bubble mailer. I hope most people are ok with that. Anything valuable would obviously ship in the bubble mailer.

I have no problem with the PWE "as long as the sender uses a top loader" recived a card for the US yesterday and all was there for protection was a PENNY SLEVE, not impressed at all. i know shipping rates will always go up and we all will find cheaper ways to ship but come on atleast use a top loader.
