Blah! High end product with stickers for the RPA :(

There is a Batherson on ebay and you can see the outline of the sticker in the pic. Hopefully its just him or something.

I hit a Batherson retro RPA and it's hard signed.

Is this the listing you're talking about? If so, I don't think it's a sticker. The auto area is just shaded. The seller even has "on-card auto" in the title.

Oh good, yes that's the link. Fake news then carry on :)

Yikes.... when you make an already declining "High-End" product even worse. Come on UD, you cancel Synergy and now this?

There are definitely sticker autos out there in this ultimate release. Most of these dual auto cards come along with stickers on it...not very high end from my point of view:/

Multi player autos will almost always be stickers these days. Do you know how difficult it is to send a card to multiple players to sign???

no i do not, but all my older dual or multiple Autos from ultimate are hard signed.

I am ok with it, no Multi Player Autos for my PC, so no Need to worry!;)

Nowadays maybe but before most doubles are hard signed (dual SOTT, Ultimate, Cup, OPCP, etc.).

Triples were also hard signed (Cup mostly)

Even quads (Ice frozen foursomes)

So I don't think it's that ridiculous to ask UD for hard signed multiplayer stuff.

I agree, lots of old Ultimate Collection duals, triples and quads reside in my PC and all were hard signed. The fact it is hard to pull off now may not entirely be a reflection on Upper Deck however. I think the players themselves are getting harder and harder to corral.

It's not the players jobs to be aligned for dual autos. Maybe like you know, plan it properly? For example, you know whose going to HOF induction. Make dual autos of those guys and get them to sign it that week. Awards ceremony? Same thing. Draft day? Lots of legends in front office now. Make some of those duals.

Rookie showcase? Sign less stickers and sign some duals. All-star game? Another signing session.

Or just do more teammates. That should be easier right?

EDIT: Logistically, they can have like predesigned cards with signing area and then sticker on the player's faces, names, team logos, etc. after they get the cards signed. It'll be pretty cool take on sticker cards.

exactly! well spoken...it is not my Job do get this done, but if you pay 150$ for 4 cards you want some quality for it. hard signed cards look so much better and you have some Kind of value...

I was so disappointed with the ugly sticker autos in Chronology, another high-priced product. If you can't produce on-card multi-autos, don't do them...look at some of the amazing triple and quads from Immaculate basketball, it can be done.

This all sounds great in theory but the players aren't as easy to deal with than you think. It's the reason there are so many redemptions in hard signed products. They just don't care about a deadline to sign and send their cards back. I agree that there should be something in place for signing days but I am 100% certain that UD has tried different things but some of the players are just impossible to work with.

The constant complaints of sticker autos and redemptions have steered UD to release more and more of these garbage "update" cards...sooo, pick your poison.

I think there should be clauses in the contract stating that if the player doesn't sign and mail out their cards by a given date, then the player will need to forfit a certain percentage of their autograph earnings. Maybe this will encourage players/agents to keep up with their signings instead of never returning them or returning them super late.

The NHLPA would no doubt have a problem with this, but I think putting something in place like this would be fair.
