NHL Debuts 2016-17

FYI:
In 2015-16 the cut-off date for RCs without being a carryover was January 9
In 2014-15 that date was January 15

So the cut off date for debuts getting their RC this season could very well be this Sunday.
 
Brandon Halverson (December 27) dressed as a backup goalie with the New York Rangers.

For those keeping track, Bobby Segin recently dressed as an emergency goalie with the Florida Panthers. He joins Hewitt and Semborski as this years emergency goalies who won't qualify for cards.

An off topic observation: goalie Jeremy Smith is one unlucky SOB. He recently dressed as Colorado's backup goalie for a few games. Since 2012 he's dressed an an NHL backup a dozen times for FOUR different teams!! Nashville, Columbus, Boston and Colorado but has yet to get his NHL debut. That's an NHL record I'm sure.

I am very upset that there is still so many carry-over players from 2015/2016 season without any rookie card. By the half of January 2017 still 23 players from 2015/2016 who deserves RC remain on the list. I don't remember situation like this past 10 seasons. I hope that they all will hit the cards. Maybe they will be pictured on FW or some update, but I am afraid most of them will never have their RC. Luk.

I think its in the NHL/UD contract that every player does get guarenteed a RC... I think a lot of these guys will be in Fleer Showcase where they do Dual and Triple Rookies

Thank you for the info. It is better than nothing, but those trios... I dont like them, I dont understand why they could not create some singles... But good to know. Luk.
 
I'm going to guess any new debuts going forward will now be RCs in 2017-18... This past weekend is a typical past cut-off dates for RCs for the year.
