I was told there would be a UD presence. Not sure what that means. Trying to get more info.

Would be fascinating to know what the terms were both for a fanatics bid (assuming there was one, which I think we have to think there was?) as compared to what UD offered.

I have to think staying with the company which has some of the biggest stars of the sport (i.e., Gretzky and McDavid) locked up helps, but that can't be everything. Had to have been money at least in part (given Bettman's reported comments about increasing revenue to the teams).

Would love to know the detail here.

And a strong agreement with Ameet that great to see that the team at UD is safe. They do get a lot of noise from people but they've always been great to me and from my experience at least, Chris, Jeff D in QA, Billy, Tony, Grant et al all care tremendously about delivering a great product and great experience to collectors. That feels very different than the tone from Eisner. Maybe that helped.

Man, hits keep coming for Topps. Will try to take a look back at their proxy statement again on revenue portion that comes from the WWE license.

Despite all the talk of Fanatics going their own way, sure seems like the pieces are falling into place for a Fanini hybrid on almost everything else.
