Stumbled on the checklist over on the other site... Included is RJ Umberger and Wade Skolney, but no Petr Prucha surprisingly (since he's in SPx and doing very well on Ebay). Even more frustrating (albeit merely on a personal level) left out are Ben Eager and Freddy Meyer??

WTFUD?

There have been a ton of rookies to debut since the release of Series I. I'm kind of disappointed with no Lessard included, personally.

Thanks for the head's up.

Even though Prucha, has some RC already! He should've been included in Series II.

What are the folks at Carlsbad thinkin. Anyways, as they always say. Checklist subject to change up to the release date! ;)

I can't find the checklist. Can someone post it here?

I am really hoping that Andrew Ladd is in there, but not holding my breath

What would be cool is if they took some of the rookies out that are not really 'Young Guns' and just gave them regular cards in the base set - they'd still be rookie cards, but bring back some integrity to the Young Gun tag instead of having 28 year old career minor leaguers taking up my 1:4 Young Gun spot.

Geez... no Eric Fehr either.

Maybe there's a UD3 or 'Final Update' set in the making? Young Guns in the Rookie Update boxes maybe?

Well, I haven't been back from vacation long enough to be so cynical, but is it possible that since UD has the monopoly, they can hold off producing key rc's until next year in order to boost what is expected to be a weak year for rc's?

Things that make me go hmmmmmm

(Go easy defenders of the UD machine, this is not an attack, but rather a musing ;) )

Finally, a RJ Umberger RC. I wish Meyer had no RC's last year since he would be a nice pickup this year.

But with the clueless people at Upper Deck (who don't even include Eager), they would have skipped over him.

And no Prucha or Ladd is just weird. I mean, Prucha has an autographed RC in SPx.

Ladd and Prucha are definitely key rookies they've missed.

Also would have liked to see Richie Regehr's name on the list... played 10 games for the Flames and played VERY well while Hamrlik was injured. Although these players may have been decided on awhile ago and they may not have had time to put him on the list (though I doubt they would have anyway). Meanwhile, they still have Nystrom in virtually every set even though he played a massive 2 games for the Flames...

Some of the mising players could pop-up in a rookie update type set (I better stop giving them idea's) Fehr, Prucha, Ladd, Lessard, Burrows, Eager, etc.

No Ladd, very disappointing. I'm like Glenn, starting to wonder if he'll show up in any of the sets at all this year...

Now that Carolina traded Richmond to Chicago, I almost hate to see him in this set, as now I'll probably still feel obligated to pick up one or two of his cards:o
