To make a long story short. A few months ago I bought my first box of ITG Heroes and Prospects, my favorite product ever. (I probably have at least 400 different autos since 04-05 as well as numberous gu). Opened the box, which still had the itg shrink wrap to find 2 autos and no gu. There were two packs with not decoy so I figured it was a manufacturing error. Dropped ITG a email letting them know what had happened. Dr.Price emailed me back himself and asked for my mailing address. I was hoping he would send me a common jersey or two and thought nothing else of it. Today I get a package from itg with a new box of H&P, WOW!!! Sure it was a manufacturing error but this is still going well above and beyond to me. This is why itg gets 95% of my hobby dollars, love their product, love them period!!!
On to the box, two autos: Ryan Murphy (sweet!) and Tatar
GU: silver jumbo jersey of Toffoli with 3 clrs and a huge seam as well as a John Carlson emblem black with a sweet 3 clr emblem!!! The box could of been duds and I would have been happy but a great box and a great company! Keep it up ITG, you have my business for years to come!!!

Great to hear how the story ended Pete, you had told me about what had happened up to the point where you had been emailed by Dr.Price... awesome CS for sure!

Well consider yourself lucky - 'cause they have never done that for me.
I had 3 or 4 boxes of H&P from a few years back that did not have an auto (no - they were not stuck to another card), and CS did nothing for me. One told me it was impossible - and the other doubted it happened.

Really depends on perspective ... don't it???

Kudos to ITG for helping him out.....but it bothers me because I've had the exact same problem before and I've always been left high and dry....I know it's the law of average and what not...but considering the amount of money I spend on ITG every year...I don't like seeing these threads...

I'm not a fan of Selective customer service...

Its not selected customer service, i'm sure they don't know me from a hole in the ground. I provided them with the box number and where it was purchased. They probably were able to find out that is was a manufacturing error and made it right. I was not expecting it, but if they were able to find out that that case was missing their hits, should they not have made it right so you wouldn't feel bad? Dr. Price and the team stepped up to the plate on a relatively small spender and it was much appreciated. I don't have a tonne of money but I spend what I do with a company that steps up when they find out it was an error on their part. I hate people that say "well they wouldn't do that for me!" This may just have been the time they could verify the mistake, I don't expect this every time and most times would not even complain. Kudos to ITG.

I have been on both sides of this. The first time it happened they said they couldn't do anything and honestly I was OK with it as they were very nice and explained why. It also helped that I received the response within 2 hours, and at 10:30pm PST which told me someone was actually up and reading/responding to CS issues in the middle of the night their time which impressed me. A year later I had the exact same problem and they sent me some cards, they were a couple years old but at least they sent something. Glad you were taken care of.

I know Brian and his crew do their due diligence when it comes to CS issues of this nature (you'd be surprised how meticulous they are). I've been on both ends myself but I also think I've had 3-4 issues TOTAL in about 15 years of collecting BAP/ITG cards.
