Hi all:
I don't think this has been done yet on HI, but now that the monthly card show is over (which sounds like it was a good show), it is now time to focus on the Expo, which is coming up in less then three weeks.

So who all is making it this go-around? I will be there all three days, probably wearing some sort of Gretzky propaganda, or a Ducks shirt. Hope to see a lot of you there :)

I should be there all three. I'll be wearing a Heatley Team Canada Jersey (red), a White Chiefs jersey (slapshot!), or something else. 6'1, medium-long brown hair, and glasses. I'll have a backpack and a tradebox with me, and I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible. Feel free to show of your pick ups, or just shoot the breeze.

I'll show up, Friday only though. Wish it was all 3 but that's too much to ask my wife with the businesses and the 3 kids..lol...:)

I'll probably be there Sat/Sun, heckling the masses and making dealers cry! :D

I'll be in a black coat, wearing a non-trucker hat and handing all my money over to Steve - it's his shirts that act like magnets to my wallet! :eek: They're enchanted I tells ya! :D

Look forward to throwing money around like it's confetti ;)

Hope everyone who has the pleasure of going has a great time. From what I've heard, the Expo is always huge and full of great cards and great times. Maybe I'll go someday :D

And if anyone is willing to look for stuff for me, that would be cool :rolleyes:
 
I'll be sporting an Eric Staal jersey and a special package for some folks in the corporate area. Probably Friday/Saturday.

If you see the white Staal jersey and a Stanley Cup Champions cap, just walk up and introduce yourself. Look forward to meeting up with lots of ya!

I should be there around 11;30 Saturday. Hope to meet up with all the regulars and finally meet Glenn,lol, we keep missing each other. Trev, looks like we won't be there the same day again, oh well, one of these days.

My son and I will be driving up from Pittsburgh for all 3 days. Bringing
up 3 cases of ud series 1, obviously we won't be allowed to open it all
at the ud booth, so if anyone is looking for some, lmk. We'll most likely
be in Penguins something, I'll be lugging around a black gymbag type
thing over my sholder. Bring all your pens stuff, and lmk what to bring
up for you. I probably have close to 100 jersey cards from last year
to bring up.

I really hope to pull Jeff another Gretzky auto from the UD booth.:D

Will also be cracking 3 boxes of ITG sig ice.

Anyone with a booth, please post the number so I can say hello.

As usual I will be there all 3 days.Most times I'm wearing a red hat with Bawating Hockey on the front.Have a big build for those I might see.Hope to see many HI members

Dude, you cannot be a TGO fan and wearing the Ducks stuff while living in Cali Jeff. That is a major conflict of interest, you know better.

That may fly in the O.C. but in the South Bay where I'm from or anywhere near Staples you could get killed for doing that!:p ;)
 
Wanted to go to this one but too much to do. Hopefully in the spring I can make it,for all of you going have fun. Oh if anyone going could do me a favor & find some of my sturm cards I'd appreciate it & I would of course Paypal a certain amount of $$. Just a thought ;)
 
Not sure if I am going to go this time around since I went for the first time last year and it was a bit of a waste for me. Sure, I got a couple of nice deals, but I get more from the monthly which is a lot closer and thus easier to get to.

People going for the first time should be noted that the EXPO is VERY large and b\c of this I spent most of my time just going around in circles. It was hard for me to navigate and I find smaller shows just easier to trade with people and make deals. If you plan on going and it is your first time, I suggest you go all three days b\c I was there for only two and it was not enough time.
 
I just got confirmation I can go all three days. I'm going to have my whole family with me on Friday for a bit (can't wait to get the three year old busting UD packs! lol She loves opening packs of cards) but then Saturday and Sunday I'll likely be wondering around aimlessly, trying to find some deals to stock my inventory back up with for the monthly shows.

Wandering aimlessly is right! There should be some easier way to track the cards that you are looking for. Maybe I'll just go and help those in need of card finding assistance? lol. I'll wear one of those bright orange traffic get ups so people will notice me and carry a big "Tracker for Sale" sign lol..
 
:) Having set up at the Expo before, I find it actually more fun to be on the seller side - I know I'm there to sell my cards, maybe take a look for a few things, and meet up with old mates. On the other side of the table though, I have so few SPECIFIC things I'm looking for, my attention is never held for long.

I still get to meet up with the usual suspects though, so that makes it worthwhile regardless.
 
If I where to go I would definitely meet up with a couple of people from here that I have completed some high end trades with. The Expo is a good place if you have something specific you are looking for like some set killers or a specific player you collect. But I went last year just to see for myself how big it really was and yah I was overwhelmed...
