Hey Bruce!,

I have no doubt Roberts his was not clean (I actually missed seeing it,
had to get another plate of ribs...), my comment is, its going to happen,
clean, dirty, starting out clean but ended looking dirty, however it comes
down, its going to happen. So if a players health is in question, he should
sit out. Isn't that why he sat out games to begin with.

I don't think fleury has mastered the art yet, he is young, it will come.

As for the rest, basically the pens better revamp, if they lose game
3 this way, you will all here in Detriot, how the wings tanked game 4
so they could win in front of the home crowd.

still waiting on that beer.....

Nope he sat out 'cause he was having headaches that would not quit.
He was finally cleared to play - and that is fine. like I said - hit him legally - I have no problems. Take a player with a bad knee - he comes back when it is healed - and then another player (say Brian Marchment for grins:devil:) happens to stick his knee out in his first game back. Would you not consider that beyond the scope of reason???
Really no difference with Franzen.

If they lose game 3 - the Pens will not survive game 4. Recent history shows
that the Wings are like Sharks when they do smell blood. Ask Philly, Washington and Carolina.

The beers is very cold and waiting for you.... bring the OPC in person and you can golf and then have it :beer::beer::beer:

Maybe Bruce should be a hockey mod!:p

Nope - no thanks. Waaay too old for that stuff. It is just that if this place turns into the other I would have nowhere to hang out!!!!

By the way Barrie - I am making plans to be in Longmont in August for a week or so. Hopefully I am going to see Yes at Red Rocks ( the wife won't go to see George T & The Destroyers!). Any other fun events like blues fests or jazz fests ??? Last time - two years ago - we hit up a pretty nice all day festival at the dog track. We also rode horses most of the way up Long's Peak (13k) - is there any other rides that would be good all dayers - that do not involve climbing???

Thanks for any suggestions.

More like "scoreless" Chris :p

You guys are prety harsh.

I'm predicting that the Wings get an obstruction/interference call and at least another penalty in the first 6-8 minutes. Pens score on one of them - and the fans go crazy. They score another before the end of the period at even strength.... and then the Wings grind them out over the last 2 periods.
Only a question mark if the Wings can put 2 markers on the board to force OT.

I am sure there will be a make up call - just as there was against Homer. That way the league can say they were enforcing it. Course if they really looked - the Pens are the ones doing a fair amount of impedence.

Also, Malkin is moving to the top line to play with the Kid. Hopefully that will light the wickless firecracker in his A$$

If the boys lose tonight I doubt I'll watch the game on Saturday as I'll be in Vegas and rather than go through the pain of watching the game, I'd rather go through the pain of giving away alot of moula.

Change in the Pens lineup, Letang is taking a seat this game,
Sydor is to return.

eh.....I don't think I like it......

Agreed, I like them apart. But with home ice they will likely be playing against someone other the The Wings top line, which may add a bit of room for scoring chances.

Weren't the Pens already playing Malkin an Sid on the same line in the 3rd? They played worse that period than the previous ones. I never like seeing teams try to make a stacked line in the playoffs. Just makes it easier for the other team to shut one line down...

Seriously - why are the Pens fans blaming all of this on Malkin???
What you think Sid has been stellar???

The whole lot of young Pens are getting schooled. Malkins greatest asset is his ability to generate speed through the neutral zone. Oops that has been taken away - but I do not see any of the Pens stepping up and carrying the puck on their own in order to create any room for either of the wonder twins.

Hell' Bell's - gimme Malkin on the Wings and I will show you how to CREATE space for him.
Not only that - but I distinctly remember the same being said about Datsyuk in 03/04 AND 05/06. He has shined in a couple of rounds - and is now playing against a very good team. Tell me - East Coast fans - do you think NYR, Montreal or Ottawa or Philly or any others would look any better????

I go back to my long-winded post.
This is more about the Wings making the Pens look worse. Variety of reasons - but it is still the bottom line.

No chance. Detroit is just too good. Before the series started I picked DET in 4, and I'm standing by that. The only thing in question is if PIT can score a goal in the next 2 games.

Well we have ourselves a series.

Penguins played a lot better tonight then in the first two games obviously. Still an entertaining close game that could have gone either way.

Looking forward to game 4.

BZZZT! Wrong! :D

Okay, I was worried about the goal thing too. I'm just glad to see a series again.

Adam Hall FTW!

wow- bad night for Detroit sports- the Pistons lost in Boston in game 5 and now face elimination coming back home for game 6. Tough, close losses in both games. Oh well, can't win 'em all.

Brad Stuart, Scott Hannan, Mike Rathje. There's a reason the Sharks let those defensemen go. :p

That game was much more fun to watch than the first two. More! More!

I disagree, I liked the first two much more ;) Let's hope the refs get back to calling things equally next game... Therrian must be laughing his a$$ off right now playing he refs the way he did!
