A buddy I play hockey with tells me yesterday that Kyle Bigos was picked 99th overall by the Edmonton Oilers. This kid comes and plays with us once in a while at our rink. I don't know how well he'll do in the NHL, but he is freakin' huge and has speed. Congrats to him!

nice man, my friend Brett Ponich got drafted 48th overall by st.louis everyone saying hes either going to turn out to be a chris pronger type if he gets more aggressive and offensive game, but st.lous does have one of the best scouts in league, so well see...congrats to both.

Very cool, I played hockey and went to school with Scott Glennie for years. Good to see him go to the Stars. Third year in a row guys I played hockey with went in either the first or second round

I watched Bigos a bit this year while he played in Vernon. He definitley wasn't a flashy guy, but you are right, he was a big boy. Vernon had a big team, and he was one of the bigger ones...and they were all fast.
The Vipers had a set of twins who played for them too that were awesome (can't remember their names). It wouldn't suprise me if they were drafted too.

I honestly don't know too much about him but sounds like he might be a good AHL player for us. It will be interesting to see how he shows at the July camp if he is on the invitee list.
