OK, Need a little advice on an eBay issue...

Hey all. Just had something happen regarding an eBay transaction and I'm not sure what to do. I recently won this auction:

I immediately paid him via paypal as soon as the auction ended. Well, 4 days pass and I get an email from Paypal saying my payment has been refunded. I sent him an email asking "What's up?". No response. My guess is he is not pleased at the price the card fetched and plans not to send the card... I know I'm not out any money, and I can leave him negative feedback, but should I report this guy to eBay? Is this allowed? Never had this happen before and I wasn't sure if you guys have had similar issues. Any help/advice would be appreciated. Mike
 
As an eBay Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
Happened to me once - by the time he responded, the card was back on eBay.
I negged him because he never did respond. Card went for less the 2nd time... funny though, it got listed a 3rd time before he got NARUed.

I'd give him 24-48 hours to respond... file an Item not received report AND neg him.
 
I agree with the consensus. If no response in a couple days, give him a negative. Taking the high-road on this condones the action and diminishes the integrity of the marketplace.
 
File the non-selling notice, send copies of your email from the twit and see what happens. Then neg his posterior and whatever else this naked molerat weasel has attached.
 
I would report it as well. We all know ebay doesn't like people ducking fees, and he clearly wants a reserve without actually paying for one.
 
At the very least Mike, keep us updated, this has actaully happened to me before, and I was easy, the seller was huge, and he said he had sold out of an item, so I let him off the hook.
 
Thanks for the help guys. I plan to drop the neg on him for sure if he doesn't reply and I placed him in my blocked bidder list to try and avoid him trying to return the favor.... I tried to file a complaint through eBay but it says it's too soon to file a non-receipt... Also tried the live help and it is down and tried calling, no answer... Sigh....
 
Wow..sorry to hear about your bad luck.
This seller should be banned from the bay...why ebay is not doing anything about this guy is mind boggling to say the least.

Wow that sucks mike. I pretty much agree with everyone else in that he didn't get what he wanted so hes going to re-list it sooner or later. Its his fault for not listing the names of any of the players in the auction title and just simply going with new york rangers.
 
Regardless of what he does:
1) He's got a habit of non-response to buyers. Check the negs.
2) Neg the git, with as much detail as you can - i.e. "Won't honor winning bid, no communication"
3) Report it to eBay.

Honestly, I've got no patience for trying to browbeat losers into doing the right thing. Curbstomp him as he deserves.
